This is a great escape for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the property and just how quiet the surrounding area was. The owners are very informative of the property and surrounding Ellijay area. Our only gripe was the septic gas smell in the downstairs bathroom.

Great communication with host prior to check-in. Very detailed directions to cabin was very helpful. Beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you would need!

The hosts, Nicole and John, were very friendly and took the extra time to make sure that my wife and I had no issues getting to the cabin. The cabin itself was very comfortable! It felt quaint, while offering modern amenities including a great kitchen, nice showers, and very comfortable beds! Outdoors, the grill, hot tub, fire pit, and hiking trails were top tier. We’d go back!

Beautiful Cabin, it felt very warm and, inviting It was peaceful and secluded. It was just what we were looking for. Spending time with family with beautiful surroundings, what more could you ask for.

My two teenage sons and I had the best time staying at this cabin. It is absolutely beautiful and completely surrounded by woods and nature. The beds were so comfortable, the rooms were private, and the kitchen was wonderfully stocked. We had some thunderstorms during our stay, and we loved sitting on the screened porch listening to the rain while playing board games. Of course the highlight for us was seeing black bears! I can't say enough positive things about the Hilltop Retreat. We will happily stay again!

I rented this cabin for my father on the same property as us. It was great, as we had some younger kids staying with us so during the day we hung out lakeside and when my dad was tired he went back to his peace and quiet on the hill...we took the two teens back to his cabin as well with the awesome upper level and two rooms. It couldn't have worked out better! No complaints.

We loved the property! Beautiful view, and nice hiking trails. The house was perfect. Well stocked, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We will definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay but the house smells like septic gas and the hot tubs chlorine levels were extremely high (at least 10 times the exceptable level)

We had an incredible Thanksgiving stay at Hilltop Retreat! With six adults, there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making holiday meal prep a breeze. The outdoor amenities were a highlight—sitting around the fire pit with the provided cut wood was such a cozy experience, and the hot tub was absolutely amazing, especially in the crisp 30-degree weather. The scenic views from the property were breathtaking and added to the peaceful atmosphere. This retreat provided the perfect setting to create wonderful memories. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a spacious, comfortable, and serene getaway!

Gorgeous little cabin. Everything from the rustic cabin feel to the privacy of the location was perfect! The owner communicated all the needed information and we had no problems finding the place. We would definitely stay there again some day.

Great secluded stay

The cabin & surrounding area was great! Lots of trails to hike & things to do at the cabin. The hosts were wonderful!

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, this was the perfect cabin experience. Private, well outfitted, high end finishes, furniture and appliances. Excellent internet service, beautiful view from the hot tub. Host was fantastic, great communication, highly recommend. Remember you will need 4WD!

Such a beautiful cabin atop a serene hill. All the amenities to relax without the feel of a rental. In fact, it felt like home away from home. I needed a break from work and this cabin really did the job of rejuvenating me. From a comfortable bed to a superb kitchen and the porch furniture, it is set up to relax. And if the rain on the metal roof doesn’t relax you, then the hot tub surely will. Even staying dry is relaxing by the fire pit where the firewood is provided. There were a state park’s worth of very walkable trails. A map is provided at the cabin for the trails as well. Really an amazing property. I am counting down the days until I return. If you’re reading this and wondering if you should…you definitely should!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! The hot tub was so nice and we loved the kitchen. It has everything you need to cook just like you were at home. We will definitely be booking here again!

This place was gorgeous! Well decorated and well-maintained. So many nice amenities. It's obvious the owners really put a lot of work into making a comfortable space. The atmosphere is so peaceful that all I wanted to do was sit on the covered porch and enjoy the natural serenity. Will definitely stay again.

My husband and I had a great weekend at the property. We really no complaints. Everything was clean and organized. The cabin was nice and cool. Everything worked as it should. The backup generator even kicked in without any trouble when the power went out during a storm. The one thing I will say is that you must have a 4-wheel drive to get up to the property. The final approach is very steep, so please keep that in mind. We would definitely stay here again. It's a great property for a couple or even a small family.
