This was a beautiful cabin, they had everything you would need for cooking or grilling. We loved the area of the cabin. Felt like you was in the middle of no where but was still only 10 minutes away from Boone. We will definitely be staying there again if availability allows..
It was a beautiful cabin, very clean and well cared for. Cabin was convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock. The only drawback for us was the very very steep road to get up there. We encountered several cars on the way down and it was a very difficult situation and a bit scary. The other drawback was tweetsie railroad Halloween train loud and didn’t stop till after 11 pm. Overall it was a great place and I would recommend it
Great house for our kids and grandkids. Location is close to everything and patio was a relaxing fit for everyone. Hope to stay again. Owners were great too.
The property was at the top of the mountain and private - such a cute little spot. There is a house just across the front yard, but even if anyone was there, the best hang out was privately located in the back yard! Spacious and fully stocked. Close to lots of food options and activities. We will be back!
This house was absolutely beautiful! It was very spacious and clean. Would definitely rent this house again.
I dont refer to this place as a log cabin. it is a beautiful log home! I was very content to just stay there! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends!!
Beautiful cabin home away from home, minutes to Boone and Blowing Rock. Lots of blankets and comfy furniture, great porches and view. Easy access to extras like fans and umbrellas, plus lots of bathrooms.
We enjoyed every bit of the decorations and the little touched of foxes. Really detailed information with notes and instructions, plus the kind and friendly responses to help us through all our needs. The property is about 10 min drive to Appalachian Ski Mtn. and 15 min drive to either Boone or Blowing Rock which makes it perfect place for family getaway for all ages.
Hilltop Hideaway exceeded our expectations. Peaceful and private setting surrounded by woods with mountain view from back porch. We had a quiet rainy afternoon on the back porch with the gas fire while listening to the Tweetsie train in the distance. The cabin was immaculate, and well stocked with amenities. King bed is very comfortable. Owners were great communicators and made our experience flawless from check-in to checkout. We hope to return soon.
We had a wonderful time. The property was as wonderful as advertised and Rob and Suzanne’s directions and descriptions were perfectly detailed and easy to follow. A magnificent property.
This house was just perfect for us. We were looking for a weekend getaway to celebrate my son’s birthday but also spend some serious time relaxing. This was one of the best equipped homes we have stayed at. We had great communications with the hosts. Great location and great house.
This place is perfect for any family going to the Boone/blowing rock area. Location is great and pretty close to Tweetsie railroad. My kids loved the play room upstairs and I enjoyed the deck and fire pit. Great place will be back. Also the owners are super helpful and responsive.
Very clean and WELL STOCKED, ONER SUSANNE WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC TO COMMUNICATE WITH…….
We were extremely pleased with the size of the cabin and how it was completely stocked. We had brought various kitchen items to cook Thanksgiving dinner with & everything we needed was there! It was also a ski/snowboard weekend and we were super close to Appalachian Ski Resort. We loved this cabin and recommend it highly!
My husband and I just wanted a quiet get away in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We were delighted with Hilltop Hideaway. The views from the front porch and the back porch were gorgeous. At night we lit the propane fire table on the back porch and talked about our day over a glass of wine. The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked at home a night or two. The master bedroom was large and the bed was so comfortable. There was an ensuite bath with a soaking tub and shower. There was a game room loft and a laundry room with heavy duty washer and dryer. The location was quiet and peaceful but only minutes from hiking trails and the quaint downtown Blowing Rock. We were close to Boone NC as well where Appalachian State College is located. Boone is a fun college town. We hiked, ate at great restaurants and enjoyed stops along the Blue Ridge Highway. The large great room had a beautiful fireplace and all of the bedrooms were well appointed. You could easily have a large family gathering here. It was just the 2 of us but we wanted a relaxing getaway and this cabin was perfect. There are 2 nice size bedrooms on the first floor and 2 sleeping rooms in addition to the master on the second floor. The cabin is also located minutes from the local ski resorts. We highly recommend Hilltop Hideway and hope to visit again next year.
Extremely convenient to both Blowing Rock and Boone, though I would use Boone for grocery needs. Three couples would be extremely comfortable staying here. There is also a trundle bed and a room with two singles attached to the bedroom upstairs. Each bedroom that had a queen or a king sized bed has its own bathroom. It is an excellent place to go with couples. On your first night, I highly recommend checking in as easy as possible as the road is steep and windy.
This is a wonderful cabin in a beautiful setting! We traveled as an extended family to visit my daughter at App State. The cabin was spotless clean and equipped with everything we needed for a perfect family get away. The location is ideal-very close to Boone and Blowing Rock. The host was very welcoming and available! We will be staying here again for sure!
It was a very, very nice cabin and great location for surrounding places and sites. The week worked out great for us. But there is another cabin which you face from your front porch across the lawn. The reason I say it worked out great is because it was vacant the whole time we stayed. If it had been occupied with loud residents or vacationers it would have been an unpleasant week because it is so close.
What a wonderful home! Absolutely nothing bad to say about this home. Everything was top notch and the owners were available at a moments notice for questions at check in. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone considering staying in the area. 5 Stars!
We really enjoyed our stay. We'd definitely consider coming back. It was a the top of a hill/mountain with a nice view and quiet. The house was very accommodating. Enjoyed the fire table on the back deck, coffee nook, game room/area, etc. Wish the towels were a little bigger and thicker. Beds and pillows were comfortable.
This home is lovely, welcoming, warm and the decor is amazingly fitting. My husband, daughter, two grandchildren and myself stayed here for a long July 4 weekend. We enjoyed every minute we spent there; playing outside with games they provided, putting puzzles together, cooking meals, rocking on the front porch, relaxing on the back deck roasting marshmallows. The location is perfect and communication was not an issue. When we do mountain trips, this will be our “go to” place in the future. I can not say enough good things about this home or the ease of booking and communication.
