This cabin was clean and well stocked, although I did wish more bath towels were provided. The view and the waterfall were amazing! I loved the privacy. This is a great option for families who don’t want the hustle and bustle of the Pigeon Forge area.

Absolutely amazing stay, couldn't have asked for a better experience. Was far from planned but it started snowing right as we arrived. Lucky for the wife and kids they have never seen snow so a much welcomed surprise. The views are breathtaking. Literally a perfect sunset view. The cabin is gorgeous and spacious. Our kids were obsessed with the game room. There is also a blackstone flat top rather than a grill that's shown in photos which was a huge bonus for our family. Host is amazing and responsive as well. Fair warning it's stated but I will say it again, you need 4wd. Really sad to say we didn't make it all the way to the falls. We got a decent amount of snow so we only made it about halfway down the trail. Definitely plan to go back and stay again though.

Host was nice and responsive. The cabin was perfect, great views from the fire pit and jacuzzi, and well maintained compared to many of the cabins we've stayed at. So far it was my wives' favorite stay. We found it to be well stocked with necessities including cook and tableware which was great. If you have any experience driving true mountain roads, imho the roads to this cabin are no problem. Gravel was down where necessary, and a good portion is paved. 4wd high and enjoy the view on the way up. Our 2 golden doodles had a blast hiking around with us, and the waterfall was incredible and a fun little trek. We hope to be staying again this coming fall. P.S - Go pet the highland cows at walnut creek with Ms Faye in Bryson City if you get the chance.

Absolutely loved staying at this home. Had everything we needed. Very clean, had plenty of games, pool table and arcade for my nephew. Us adults enjoyed the blackstone and hot tub. The view is stunning, just know...take the hosts advice, go up the mountain in the day time first, lolThe host is very responsive.

The cabin was beautiful and was tucked away in a remote location. There was tons of games to entertain us on our off day of hiking and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. The drive up the mountain is definitely not simple, but worth it when you get to the top.

This is a beautiful and well-appointed log cabin set up high in the foothills of the Smokies with fantastic views, a relaxing hot tub, its own private waterfall, plenty of space to stretch out, and a great deal of peaceful solitude. It is about 30 minutes to Bryson City and the national park. The drive up is definitely easier with 4WD/AWD, as a couple section of the gravel road can be steep, but it's not nearly as bad as some reviews make it seem. A couple of times up and down the mountain and you have the hang of it. Few things are more relaxing than sitting out on the back deck and watching the birds and butterflies while looking out over the mountains in the distance and listening to the waterfall in the woods below you. Absolute tranquility!

Wonderful, peaceful & plenty of space to enjoy and relax. From the owner Bill & property manager Paige our time at Hill Top cabin was a great experience. We are from South Florida, where all the roads are flat, so the journey up to the cabin was an adventure for us, but after a couple of trips up and down the mountain, we became more confident. We enjoyed several family activities while in Bryson, including a Train ride, white water rafting, ziplining & tubing, all of which were awesome and created a bunch of new memories. While at the cabin, my grandson & his cousin had a great time hanging out in the game room & hot tub & roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. The master suite offered a very comfortable king bed with a beautiful high window through which the moon shone brightly, making us feel as if we were sleeping in the sky. We would definitely consider a re-stay at this piece of tranquility in the sky...Sonny & Kim

Beautiful cabin with well-equipped kitchen. All-wheel or 4-wheel drive definitely needed to access the cabin, but the views and solitude were well worth the drive.

The cabin was VERY nice. VERY secluded, if you don't mind being away from everything. I told Bill about the couch needing to be replaced, cushions are wore out. Very curvy road which was fun to drive in my 4x4 truck, never had to use the 4 wheel drive. One of the guys was in an all wheel drive tesla car, we thought he might have an issue to get out with the amount of rain we got over the 2 days we were there, but no issues at all. Thanks for letting us rent your cabin.John

Cannot say enough good about this property. Great location, close to town but far enough that you can relax in complete peace. Property was as clean as you could ask for and everything was provided. Perhaps bring a sharp knife if you are going to be cooking. You do want to do your grocery shopping before going up to the property. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend if you are looking to get away. One note on the road. It is a standard NC mountain road. It is well maintained and is paved for most of the way. Yes, it is steep, but the sharpest incline is only 15 degrees. 4x4 is helpful if you are not experienced, but we went up in 2 wheel drive with no problems. Just go slow and stay alert.

You really need to be adventurous to appreciate this Cabin in the Woods. It was very beautiful and immaculate and the amenities are wonderful however it was too adventurous for us it didn't even want to go back down the mountain for any reason. The drive up is impossible in anything but a four-wheel drive and even then is so steep you feel like you're going to fall backwards and the hair pins turns only add more Adventure to the 20 minute drive up the mountain. It is a great adventure for those willing to rough it up the mountain but I wouldn't book this location again. If you do book I go to the grocery before you get to the cabin because you aren't going to want to track up and down no matter what vehicle you're in.

Loved the property. Kitchen was well stocked, cabin was clean and bedrooms were spaced out great. Some reviews say 4x4 is required, but we made it up in a truck with no 4x4 the day after it . Dont let that scare you away! The only downside i can think of is the hot tub didnt have a cover loft on it. This would be impossible for girls to lift the civer back on. Ither than that it was excellent!

The cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed it. Very clean and the view is gorgeous! We loved the fire pit and the black stone grill was amazing! But if you do not have a 4x4 vehicle to get you there do not even attempt to rent this cabin. We had to push my parent suv out of the drive way two times. The way there and back is very steep. Thank goodness there was a tractor there this morning to help us.

The cabin is beautifully designed and decorated. The cabin is very clean and the owner was in constant communication with us and extremely helpful. The only issue is the road leading to the cabin a 4 WD vehicle is necessary due to the steep gravel roads. Experienced drivers only.

Beautiful cabin with full accommodations for all ages young and old. We loved family time together in the game room. Sitting outside by the fire pit and relaxing in the jacuzzi with the breathtaking mountain view right in front of us. Walking to the water fall and picking berries along the gravel road. If you want somewhere secluded to unwind and connect with nature this is the place for you! Just make sure you stock up on food and provisions because the nearest store is about 30 mins away.
