Overall it was a great stay. The unfortunate part was the propane that worked the gas stove ran out. We contacted them to make them aware unfortunately they gave us propane for the gas grill not the home fire place. The downstairs fire place didn't work which is unfortunate bc it's very cold downstairs this time of year. If you're staying for a week you have to purchase garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels and laundry detergent which is not something I'm accustomed to doing at other VRBOs. We did enjoy our stay. Very peaceful
The overall stay was excellent. The only issue we had was that in one of the rooms the white sheets were stained.
Beautiful private cabin to make you feel secluded and next to nature! Property was well maintained with outdoor fire pit and large patio to enjoy the beautiful weather. Would recommend for a family looking to get away for fall!
The property was super clean and well maintained. Huge problems with the internet, and having teenagers, this proved to be a big problem. (No TV or phone service for text messages or calls) Tried calling to fix it and only got answering machines. Hot tub was broken, but they did refund a small portion of the cost of the cabin. REALLY far away from town!!!! I'm hoping the gravel roads didn't cause permanent damage to my car.
This cabin was wonderful! We rented through Verbo but worked directly with Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals. Everything was so clean when we arrived. There's a great flat area next to the house where we set up several yard games - we brought our own but the cabin had some available too. The pool table was really nice, and we found out it can be converted into a ping-pong table! There are several paths that you can follow if you fancy a short hike in the woods. The porch is fully fenced in with gates that lock - it was great for keeping my dog on the porch. Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn't working when we got there but the repairman came out the next morning! It's about 15/20 minutes from downtown Blueridge. Overall we had a wonderful weekend. HIGHLY recommend. Side note, the directions said not to follow GPS when you go to the cabin. We did follow GPS until the last five minutes when we got on the back roads. Also, if you have a sports car or something you don't trust on a gravel road (and through one small creek/stream) this may not be the cabin for you.
The house was in a great location, quiet and remote but closes enough to shops if we needed anything. Rooms were all comfy and the the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans etc. we had a fabulous stay!
