The cabin was excellent. We were looking for very remote and we got that. (12 min from main road to cabin) The hot tub was the best of any rental we’ve ever had. We had everything we needed for our stay. I honestly expected it to not be as good as the pictures but it really was just as advertised.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin near Red River Gorge! The place was spotless, had everything we needed, and the view was absolutely beautiful—surrounded by peaceful nature. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub after a day of hiking. The showers were huge with plenty of hot water, which was a nice bonus, and the host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay.Just a heads-up for future guests: make sure to secure the outdoor trash—some clever raccoons got into ours! Also, the front door lock was a little tricky, but manageable.Overall, we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near RRG.

Had an incredible few days at the higher standards cabin, and it certainly lives up to its name. From the dual master suites with huge walk in showers to the incredible deck and hot tub it was an awesome cabin. The secluded location and rock wall on. One side added to the beauty.

Description of property is spot on and to say it “is remote” is not an overstatement. Plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. Getting to property initially was a challenge. Street address on gps maps is no good and off. Without link from host details “go to the dead end signs”. Host- Owners may consider placing a Higher Standards road sign at last fork as other properties are marked on road. Already looking at availability to go back!Shout out to employees of Redpoint BBQ for helping us with directions. Wonderful KY hospitality.

This cabin will give you the true gorge experience. It is at the end of the road, if you want seclusion, this is it. It’s a short drive to most everything, big tv and king size beds in both bedrooms, showers were amazing, huge hot tub and fire pit.

This cabin was amazing and just as described in the listing. We were looking for a place “off the grid” yet close to Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge. This was perfect and the cabin is beautiful. The cabin was very clean with all amenities we needed and the check-in/check-out process was very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a nice cabin. The price was great to split among two couples. You don’t usually find a cabin this size with two king size beds (fight for upstairs).Bring your own drinking water also.I don’t blame the management as much as the people before us. There were a lot of dishes put away dirty. We had to wash dishes before we could cook or eat off plates. The worst things were more in transportation. I was sent a link for information and never was able to open the link. No big deal the rental sight had the house number and “Smith Road, Campton”. There was a Smith Road following Apple Maps which lead us to a dead end at an old barn in someone’s back yard. The couple we were with used Google Maps and got “Jim Smith Road”. It was the correct road but they couldn’t find the house either, it wasn’t clearly communicated. It is a steep driveway but paved. Where you park at the top was loose gravel. Our front-wheel drive vehicle was parked at the top and we didn’t have to drive for a couple of days. The forecast was heavy rain and flash flooding. I sent a message to management to know would I be able to get out on the roads, no problem. The problem was getting out of our parking spot. We sat there spinning our front tires in this wet extremely thick gravel. After digging in the rain and dark, it took a half hour to get our car free. The gravel was at least 10 inches deep.It is a nice cabin but the frustration getting there and leaving there ruined a relaxing trip.

Great property and beautiful place. Runs off well water though so bring your bottled water if sulfur smell isn’t your jam while having a beverage. Everything else was wonderful.

Property was wanderful. very clean and had all essentials to stay comfortably. Beautiful Property, quite faily private. A few other cabins within sight but enough space and trees to feel private. Hot tube was very nice. Roads getting to cabin are narrow and have some steep cimbs, we had snow and ice so i was happy we drove our 4x4 truck. i dont see a problem during summer time. Over all a great Property. during driving in during summer.

Long weekend stay with friends. We enjoyed the beautiful house and the peace and quiet of the area. Drive to the house was gravel but the house was worth it. Area food is fantastic!

Great home. Great porch. Great firepit. Just a really first-class “cabin”. Two issues with our stay, though: 1) the VRBO pin drop is totally inaccurate and takes you to a wrong address miles away. You need the emailed directions or you will never find the place. 2) the deadbolt on the front door does not work so the place cannot be locked. Fortunately, the house is very remote so there seems to be little security risk.
