Location, location, location! Only six miles from Fredericksburg, three miles from Luckenbach and in close proximity to eight wineries, this is the perfect place to enjoy the Hill Country's “BEST”!!

The log portion of this structure is an old corncrib used in the 1800s. It was moved, in tact, to this place. The logs were chinked and local artisans carefully constructed the fireplace and chimney. In the added-on portion, old cabinets, doors and windows were salvaged from turn-of-the century buildings and used to create wonderful warmth and a feeling of pioneer days.

The log portion of the cabin is the living room with television and fireplace. The room is friendly and inviting and oh-so-beautifully decorated. The small kitchen comes next with its country charm and built-in practicality.

The bedroom is lovely and romantic with a king-size bed with custom made elegant linens and fresh curtains. The view from every window is a special treat. The bath has an old-footed tub to offer a luxurious soak to all that enter here. The owner who lives next door carefully and lovingly decorates the entire cabin.

There are two porches which are perfect for enjoying country life.

Things to be aware of:
- Motorcycles are not allowed at the property
- Your host lives on the property in a separate house that is near the cabin
- Livestock live on the property, so we ask that you close the gate as you come and go during your stay
- The cabin does not have internet access

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

Very clean, small, quiet, tucked away cabin. Comfortable bed. Small kitchen with enough stock to have coffee/tea in the morning. Purchase your own snacks and continental breakfast items to have a cozy breakfast in the mornings.

It was located above a winery, most was updated, it needs a handrail installed for the stairs.

This was our best weekend in Fredericksburg yet. The cabin was so comfy and quaint. The grounds were nice and cabin was so cute. The pictures do not do it justice. Super comfy bed too. Thank you for offering this gem for us to experience.

Key pickup was fine, although a bit inconvenient to come into town just for the key. The cabin was very comfortable, but having to unlock and lock the gate every time we came and went was, again, decidedly inconvenient. There needs to be MUCH better lighting on the road because the gate is NOT well-advertised at all. Inside the cabin, there should be additional counter space or a place for toiletries in the bathroom. Also, the tub is NOT suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as it is very tall and there are no railings to help get in or out. We enjoyed our stay, but will likely not return due to the aforementioned issues.

We always love staying at this cabin. It is always clean, nicely maintained and the master king bed sleeps comfortably. I do think a bigger coffee maker would be nice tho. Overall excellent as always!

Need a larger, more prominent sign, identifying the cabin on the highway. We came during daylight and passed the place before we came back to find it. Cabin is very rustic and cozy. Everything worked well as far as decoration is concerned. The four- poster bed is very high. I would suggest a taller stool to enable shorter guests to enter the bed. The current one doesn't do the job. We needed a chair and the stool for my wife to get into the bed. The same for the bathtub. Suggest adding slip proof appliqués on the bathtub to prevent falls. Very nice otherwise.

Enjoyed everything about our stay. The deer, pony, redbirds and Texas purple sage added beauty and interest to our time as we rocked away our cares on the front porch.

The stay was fantastic. Sooo Peaceful. Only issue was getting into the property. It was dark and impossible to see the entrance. John, the owner, had to come to the gate and flag us down with a flashlight. We will be back in a heartbeat. Can't wait until next year.

We have stayed in Fredericksburg near downtown several times. This location was so much better. We were closer the wineries we enjoy and Luckenbach for dancing. Very quiet and country feel. We will definitely rent every time at this point.

Spent the weekend at High Meadow Cabin with my brother. Very close to Fredericksburg and Luckenbach. Convenient but also a nice quiet get away. Probably a great place for couples but my brother said the couch was comfortable.

This cabin is so peaceful. We will be back!! It's far enough for quietness but close enough to town to eat and shop and enjoy the wineries.

We loved this quiet little cabin on the outskirts of town. It was perfect for our weekend getaway. We loved watching the deer in the backyard from the windows. The size was perfect for my husband and I! A little confusion from the directions sent on how to access the cabin and park led to a slightly uncomfortable conversation with owner. (The directions say to park in the back and he expected us to park on the side). Other than that, we loved our stay.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. I can’t say enough how nice this place is. Very peaceful, quite, secluded, scenic, ABUNDANCE of deer, the most friendliest little pony that greeted us everyday (fyi…he loves carrots) and just the overall ambiance of the history of the home. A true gem. Conveniently located to anywhere you want to go, trade days, wine vineyards or shopping on Main Street. Love this place and will definitely stay again.

This was an adorable cabin…very very vlean…just like we like it. Amazing authentic characters and charm. The only improvement would be if you didn’t have to pick up the key and drop it off…it was in the opposite direction we were traveling, but not a huge deal.

Great little cabin in the woods. Felt very secluded and off the beaten path. Everything was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Nice stay!
