This is our second time staying at this property and we absolutely love it. The house has air-conditioning throughout, I do not remember having that during our first visit and it is a game changer. The area is very quiet, lots of beautiful walks if you bring a dog. Upstairs has a huge loft, beds are a bit small throughout but we find that everywhere we go, so we may be spoiled with our own bed. The loft is very light in the morning, great for an early riser, not so great for those who like to sleep in. Put your early risers upstairs! Kitchen is a nice size and there is a grill on the patio. The patio has a gate you can close to keep pets and kids safe. This home is one of the very few who cannot use Blue Lake Springs but White Pines Lake is a few minutes away and gorgeous too.

What a wonderful weekend getaway. There was plenty of room for my family of 4, grandparents, aunt & uncle (total 6 adults and 2 kids). The home was clean except for a few cobwebs along the windows and higher ceilings. The drip pan in the grill overflowed so we cleaned that ourselves. Some of the exterior deck, stairs and lighting needs repair or minor cosmetic upgrades but, to be fair, it may be damage from less considerate renters. Sadly this is not in the Blue Springs Lake HOA but the public White Pines Lake is both clean and nearby. We have decided to make a vacation home purchase here in the next few years. Great getaway with wonderfully responsive property managers. And, we had a visitor on our first evening. I great big bear strolled past which made me very grateful for the high deck.

Check-in was great. However, the kitchen had some issues with cleanliness especially when you pull out the trash can. Very dirty floor. Plus, there were no trash bags, except for the one that was in the container for our 5 day stay. The kitchen was very well equipped with every utensil and dishwater needed.

Not enough room so here are the highlights.Rented a cabin for 6 with 3 queen beds and 2 twin bunk beds. Dog friendly with AC. It was 2 queen beds, a bunk bed with full on bottom and twin on top. The only private room for a couple had a full. The queens were in an open loft. My husband and I couldn’t sleep in the same bed. I had to sleep on the couch cause my husband was too tall and couldn’t. Annoying but ok..2 of the beds sheets had blood stains on them, and another had mystery brown stains on comforter. Burnt food in oven, and food all on floor under trash cans. BBQ has stuck on food and rusted.Next day went to explore town and had AC in since that was the main reason we booked this one. Went hiking and exploring came back around 3 and AC isn’t blowing cold air. House is now 85 degrees. We contact the host and they say “turn it off for 30 min and try again.” And we do. Still nothing. Reach out immediately (within 50min of first notification) and get a response 2 hours later. “No service has responded, probably due to it being Saturday night. Fortunately it has cooled off nicely. Open the windows and should be comfortable”.It wasn’t comfortable at all. And never heard from them again until after we got home on Monday. And that was, “did the AC ever start working? We didn’t hear from you again.” We were waiting for them to send a service or reach out. Nails were sticking up on deck, catching our clothes and cutting our feet. All it would have needed was communication.

My family and I stayed here to visit extended family. The cabin is very nice, the kids loved running around. We had a few minor issues with the cleanliness of the place but nothing that would keep us from booking again. Overall, would recommend.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice location and clean. Beds were not very comfortable and could have used more blankets. Beds were also very bouncy. Nice living room for gathering with family around the beautiful fireplace. There was a well-supplied kitchen with many utensils. Good neighborhood.

Nice cabin, equiped well. Very private, saw deer pretty much everyday. The stairs are a bit of a challenge, twenty five steps from the parking area to the cabin deck.

Overall my family and I had a wonderful stay at the Hibernation Family Getaway and made some great memories. The location is perfect, as we went into town and the Bear Valley Ski Resort daily. The amenities were good, with the exception of not providing a hair dryer. I would recommend that one is provided in the house as its a given now when you stay anywhere, and its really hard to have wet hair in snowy weather! Also, no where in the entire town of Arnold did they sell one, so come prepared :) The only other thing I'll note is the stairway to the entry is a big steep and slippery when icy, so that made it a little tricky for us to get up and down, but as long as you are prepared then you'll be fine.

This is a fantastic location, and SO secluded! On a court with two other large vacation homes, very private. Took our dog on walks around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, it was raining and we had lightning, but it was very cozy in the cabin!! The heater works great, AND the power went out, but immediately a backup generator turned on!! Will stay here again, just for that reason alone. The power goes out a lot here. The beds are comfy! The kitchen could use a clean-out of old stuff, but everything worked great! The family room was awesome and we even did a brand new puzzle that was up there. Thank you!
