Cabin perfect for a couple.

I recently stayed at this charming cabin and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The place was spotless and fully stocked with everything I needed, making it feel like a home away from home. The stunning view of the lake right from the deck was breathtaking—perfect for relaxing mornings with coffee or evening sunsets. The owner went above and beyond by ensuring the cabin was nice and cool upon my arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch on a warm day. Communication with Steve was seamless and prompt throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!

House was clean and comfortable. There are several other houses nearby, but it was still very peaceful. We enjoyed using the kayak and paddle board. We did quite a bit of fishing on Nelson Lake as well as two other nearby lakes (Smith Lake and Round Lake).

Larger cabin than expected, very clean, nice furniture (bed, recliner, futon). Equipped with essentials. Gorgeous view of lake from deck, nice docks for fishing. Only negative was not great area for swimming.

This property made me feel like I was at home safe

Was just like the listing, and worked perfect for my boys and I. Only little disappointment was we didn’t know where the swimming beach was. But we made the little landing in front of the cabin work. Also smoke detector kept going off every time we cooked anything, even toast. But better safe than not ! Would love to stay again!

If you like very soft beds, this is the place for you! But if you have back problems, you should probably opt for the futon. Its a cozy cabin, but I feel a little over-priced since you have to supply your own bedding and towels and you are required to clean before leaving. Also, bring your bug spray. The mosquitos were bad even though it's only May.

Very clean with all the things you need for a great stay.

Spent a long weekend with my oldest son. Was perfect for the two of us. Water access was great, even though the lake was a little low.

I had a solo getaway here & this cabin was the perfect place to do so. For years I have rented cabins on VRBO & other sites.This place was easily one of the cleanest as every area was spotless. All the kitchen items you need are here (and then some). Steve was quick to respond to questions before & throughout my stay. I ended up getting snowed in on my last day. Steve went above & beyond to assist me & sent a friend over to dig me out. I couldn't get a towtruck & decided it truley wasn't safe to travel as the roads were treacherous. Steve was kindly arranged for me to stay another night. Onward...Hayward was only 10 minutes away & places to eat/shop/do were plentiful (along with a Walmart).There are many activities to do throughout every season. I prefer a lowkey solo vacation so I menadered around Mainstreet to shop & tried various places to eat, all of which were wonderful. Other than that, I spent my time reading, napping, drinking coffee by the fire, watching the sun rise & set, binging Netflix, and eating plenty of snacks & icecream. My time at this warm & cozy cabin left me feeling relaxed & refreshed...which is just what I came for. If you missed it, you DO need to bring your own bedding/towels. You DO need to sweep & vacuum as part of check out (and I say, be polite, tidy the cabin up in general). Don't let that sway you one bit! If for some reason it will, you'll be missing out on this affordable, clean, gem of a cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were super friendly and most of all the cabin was very clean. We would recommend this place anytime.

The cabin was very comfortable. There is no range vent. So everything I cooked set off the smoke alarms. I also didn't understand why I had to sweep and vacuum when there is a cleaning fee that I was charged. Also have to bring your own towels and bedding. I have stayed at a lot of VRBO's and this was a first. I probably wouldn't have minded had I not been charged a cleaning fee.

my son became ill he was having a difficult time breathing,he has asthma, steve the property manager was very understanding and very easy to work with,he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and have a safe return home.

Very nice area on the lake surrounded by nice privately owned cabins. Lovely cabin and great owner who gets back to you immediately. The only 1 thing about the dock is wish there where plastic bumper guides along the docks so you could leave the boat out without worry of scratching it on the end of the dock.

My family very much enjoyed our 2 night stay. We swam at the beach, grilled on the deck, biked the CAMBA single track trails nearby, looked at the stars at night and woke to the sounds of loons on the lake. The cabin itself was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. It is a very small cabin, but we spent most of our time outside anyhow.

We have stayed at Steve's for years now. Always a good time.

Cabin was perfect for two people.

The property is beautifully set on Nelson Lake. Inside, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing stay. Fishing from the dock was fun and fruitful.

Steve's cabin on Nelson lake was just a promised. It was clean, up to date and well stocked with everything we needed. The owner was quick to respond to questions we had. The lake is a great fishing lake and had several places to get gas, a drink and a bite to eat. Even though it is located at an old resort the grounds were not really busy and were well maintained.

We have enjoyed our stay at this lovely and well maintained cabin with outstanding lake view.
