An airy cabin with high ceilings and lots of windows surrounded front and back by the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge. A photographer's dream. See the native waterfowl, or the hundreds of migrating birds of the Eastern Flyway. Alligators, a large colony of endangered Wood Storks, Roseate Spoonbills, Painted Buntings, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, deer, turkeys. A perfect place to cool off and catch a nap between morning and evening photo sessions. Only ten minutes from I-95, Exit 67. Literally one minute from the public saltwater ramp, then 15 minutes boat ride to the Intracoastal Waterway, Blackbeard, St. Catherine's and Sapelo Islands, Atlantic Ocean and beaches. See dolphins every boating trip. Great fishing for flounder, trout, redfish, head offshore for the big stuff....King and Spanish Mackeral, Grouper, Barracuda. Private bedroom, Queen size bed, plus a big common room with fold out sofa, dinette table, kitchen with full size fridge, sink, microwave, large toaster oven, coffee maker and dishwasher. Please note: while a convection oven and microwave are included, there is no full size oven or stovetop. The large screened in back porch (only) is shared with the other Suite. The Georgia coast is one of the most pristine natural areas on earth. Come see it for yourself ! (For some reason, some booking sites (Expedia, for one) describes this duplex unit as Adult Only. This is not correct. Children are welcome, and children may occupy the separate rental space next door.) This is a completely private side of a duplex building, sharing only the rear porch. Please note pets are welcome, but NOT ON OUR BEDS, BEDDING OR FURNITURE, and with a $ 15. pet fee left as a tip for our cleaner !!

The property was basically across the street from the Wildlife area. Wonderful photography opportunities. We had a wonderful time and would come back here again.

There was a screened-in back porch with chairs, table, and ceiling fans. The lawn was well kept, there was a swing hanging from one of the trees. The inside was well insulated from outside noise. Good Kitchen and dining table.

Proximity to the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge is a key attraction: spring migration and spring-summer nesting / hatching bring thousands of birds here. Property borders the refuge, and is itself nbordered by live oaks and bird houses that bring red bellied woodpeckers, eastern bluebirds, black and white warblers, Northern Paula andany more tomyoir doo step. Property now relatively new, spacious, and we'll equipped; excellent WiFi is a bonus.

We had a great time. The house is easily accessible, very clean and communication with the host was quick and easy. We would absolutely consider staying here again. Have the refuge just across the street was amazing. We saw tons of wildlife.

Very sparse amenities, read description carefully. I mean, even the cheapest hotels have blow dryers. Dog friendly but can’t walk dogs around the neighborhood ( the refuge ). Suited for tall people.

I am generally happy with places when I go on vacation. I had an extremely hard time finding this place. GPS indicated it was down at the end of the road and turn right onto the split. The address couldn't be seen on the mailbox or house. I suggest stating that it is islolated, and a concrete building at the end of Harris Neck Rd. to help find it. The furniture and towels need replacing (towels smell a bit like mildew), but the bed is comfy. It would also be helpful to list that it is 20 minutes away from a grocery store so folks can stop on the way in for food and essentials. The manager was great and called me back quickly.

My uncle turned 75 yesterday & this place is walking distance tohis home. The place was perfect for my stepmother & me. I slept on the sleeper sofa. I discovered it was pretty comfortable when you put all the sofa cushions & throw pillows under the mattress. Very nature friendly.
