GREAT DEAL $85 per night ON BEAUTIFUL HIAWASSEE RIVER

The place was as described, the hostess mediator when we pulled up, she took us around of the back to show us the beautiful walkway down to the river flowing rapidly behind us. Fish were jumping. Perfect location for our journeys to Bell Mountain, gotta go to the top of it. Hiked up to Anna Ruby, Falls, then go to the covered bridge, the next day we spend it in Helen Georgia it’s perfect vacation spot. We will be back.

Love the beautiful back yard river. Very relaxing. Owners were amazing. They allowed us to bring our 3 large dogs. Of course we cleaned all the dog hair up and mopped everything before we left.

Cabin was amazing and so was the owner. Could not ask for better. Will definitely be going back.

The rental was clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed for my stay. As others have pointed out, it is one side of a duplex, but that was not a problem. It is also right on hwy 17, but the traffic noise really wasn't a problem in the house, and you definitely could not hear the road down by the river. The river access was really nice. I spent a couple of evening just chilling in a chair by the water after a busy day hiking. Willene and her husband were super-friendly. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be staying here again.

This is such a magical little place we absolutely loved it. The owner is so incredibly kind, we brought our fur girl we griiled out, fed the fish, hiked and sat out at night with a fire . The place was clean,everything was stocked well . Thank you we are so incredibly grateful that you all share this place with people . Until next time ....

Charming, extremely pet friendly and great location for many hiking trails. My dog and I hiked the mornings away, and relaxed by the creek at night. Wilhene is the perfect hostess, making you feel like your coming home to visit family, not here to just check out the local sites.

Yes. we had a great stay as always. We have stayed here twice. Love the creek behind behind the house.Our doggie named Ziggy loved his time in the creek. Feed the fish corn from the can they loved it. The host as always kind and friendly.

The host was extremely helpful. She checked in on us several times and even gave us another night to stay during the 6 inches of snow.

wonderful every visit

We had a great time in Helen, Ga. in German Town visiting all the shops. The Hiawassee River behind the cabin was nice place to relax and enjoy the sounds of the river flowing. we visited NC which is 40 miles away! Everybody here was very polite. Our host Wilene was a wonderful person and very nice and helpful when we got there. Hope to return someday!

The cabin was great for a getaway for our anniversary. The river is gorgeous and easily accessible. The house was well stocked and Willene was a great hostess.

Cabin was very cute and cozy. All was clean except the pillows had some stains. That's an easy fix. Loved having the river and chairs/grill/wood available. So cool seeing all the trout. Great stay for 1 night. We will be back!

We loved it. Our host was great in communication leading up to our stay and in getting us settled. The cabin is roomy, comfortable, and well equipped. The backyard has outdoor seating and tables and a fine grill. There are 2 sets of stairs leading down to the Hiawassee River, and more seating, a table, and a fire pit at the riverside. Our hosts gave us some fish food to feed the trout in the river—a really fun experience. The TV and WiFi worked perfectly. We were very pleased, and we look forward to a return trip.

Great place to stay with the creek behind you!!Our host was great . Very helpful with everything.

What you are not told is that the units (duplex) face a busy highway & very loud with weekend traffic. This is not a cabin.Plus, getting to the beautiful river side is extremely difficult - the stone steps are very difficult to walk down.If you want a fire, you have to throw the wood down the hill because it's too dangerous to try & carry. Also told that there are 2 bears that come into the property every night so not a safe place to relax after dark. The interior is full of old, dirty furniture and the bed is terribly uncomfortable. Looks like everything came from a flea market. Way too much dust collecting and tattered stuff.This is pet friendly, but we had to leave early because of allergies to cats. It was obvious that there had been cats staying in the space and made the place unbearable.We do love the area and it's just too bad that we picked this spot to stay at.

The inside of the cabin was great. It was well furnished and kitchen was set up with all the pots, pans and utensils you would need. First issue is the cabin is only 30 feet from the main road between Helen and Hiwassee. Lots of road noise, especially on the weekends inside and outside the cabin. Secondly it is a duplex and were told we would never see the other occupants when in fact we saw them several times each day. Owner was very nice.

It was peaceful and relaxing. Comfortable and comforting. A few things to add? Measuring cups and spoons.

We loved our stay here. Our host was amazing and so helpful. The location was right in the middle of everything and only minutes away from Brasstown Bald. Ignore the other bad reviews, we slept amazing and will definitely be back.

I enjoyed the stay. I wish it was a cabin as it states but its a duplex. It was nice, clean , and private.

It was a pleasant place to stay with an excellent host. The house was the perfect distance away from Helen, Clayton, and Hiawassee.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend and it was beyond beautiful!! The location was great with amazing views! Ms.Willene was beyond wonderful and met us for a late check in!(we traveled 12 hours LOL). We will definitely be coming back to this rental in the future!! Thank you again for your hospitality Ms.Willene and we can’t wait to get with you in the future to book another trip up there!!

Always love this place, it is perfectly located for the price and the host is extremely nice. This is our second Visit, and we will continue to come and stay here.

We had a great stay and Mrs. Willene was a wonderful host! The property is in-between Helen and Hiawassee and right down the road from Brasstown bald! Great location and beautiful mountains! Would be perfect in the summer time to be able to enjoy the river more that runs behind the property. Definitely recommend.

We left this morning after a wonderful 4 days. Cabin is perfect for a couple. Plenty of room, well stocked. We will definitely return.

Perfect house for 2 people to stay in. Sitting by the river with a fire going is very relaxing. Willene was very gecious and supplied the wood for us. She is very sweet and a great hostess. The only negative is the street noise is loud at times but for the price you can't beat it.

The property owner was there waiting on us as we arrived. She made sure we had everything we needed. She gave us a quick overview of all of the area. The cabin was clean and well equipped. The area is quiet and centrally located.

Great centralized location. 10 mins from everything. Host was fantastic. Yea it’s on a highway but noise is really not a big deal at least for us. Will be back in the spring.

The property is a duplex right on the highway so it’s pretty noisy. The place is very dark to me. Doesn’t have the windows and indoor lighting for it to be nice. Had an older musty smell and shower head was pretty crusty. The stairs to the creek are very dangerous and in need of a stable railing not the rope they have. If you have any physical disabilities it would not be a safe place. The owner was super nice and friendly. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place for the reasons I listed. I give it a 2 1/2 stars

It was great. loved listening to the river flow over the rocks. the property was exactly what we expected. Mrs. Willene and Richard are awesome.
