Stayed Oct 3, 2025Beautiful property, well appointed, good communication with management. Told to take garbage out, but not told Huerta. Had to wander around property carrying garbage bag looking for where to put it. Also head to strip beds, not typical for VRBO in my experience.

Stayed Aug 22, 2025We were happily surprised with the details and comfort of the house. Very close to the lake and conveniences like a marina and restaurants. The deer corn and deer were an added bonus!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The cabin was fully updated. Furniture was comfortable. Internet TV for those that want to watch or keep in touch with sports and news. Perfectly located across the street from a boat ramp. Awesome rooftop patio and covered patio for a family and friends. Pellet grill works like a charm. Will definitely come back here again. Very quiet and safe community.

Stayed Jun 14, 2024This is a beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable cabin. My family really enjoyed seeing the stars and lake from the rooftop deck, and the selection of snacks left for us by the owner! The public boat ramp right across the street was super convenient. Definitely would stay here again the next time we visit PK.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our group of nine just returned from five relaxing and fun-filled days at The Retreat in Possum Kingdom, Texas. Cabin 17 was spacious enough for our large group, comfortable in every way, spotlessly clean, and exactly what we had hoped for. The area is quiet, secluded, and beautiful. We were able to enjoy a nice view of the lake from the large back patio. Every morning and evening a lovely doe would come from the backyard forest to say hello, and the birds continuously provided us with beautiful music. The spacious swimming pool was sparkling clean and such an added treat. We were all surprised at how quiet and perfect this spot was for our vacation. We will definitely book this cabin again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Perfect for what we needed! Even has a view of the lake! The cabin is exactly as pictured! We really enjoyed our stay! Had a maintenance issue and the staff was attentive and took care of us. We look forward to staying again!

Stayed May 26, 2023Great location and the cabin is exactly as advertised. Management answered the phone when we called about a maintenance issue and we were please with the fast courteous response! Can’t wait to come back!!
