The only hitches were the ones created by VRBO. They had managed to double book the property for our time period. We happened to arrive first and when the next couple showed up, it was a little tense for an hour or so. fortunately, the owners had a second cottage/cabin that the other couple didn’t mind using. There was slightly poor communication after the confirmation was sent out and our money accepted due to the booking error. The owners managed all of this was aplomb. Our hats go off to Linda and Mark.Thank you for a great stay!

The title of the property listing says “Gorgeous outback cabin with beautiful ponds, mountain views” so we expected a pretty sight but we were BLOWN AWAY by the log cabin that welcomed us. Before we even unloaded or set foot inside the house, we were first overwhelmed by the property around it. We walked around to see two ponds, ducks, birds, wildflowers, stone steps, shady Aspens, porches, patios, and a 360 degree view of mountains. Then we stepped inside the cabin and I don’t think we stopped saying “Oh my gosh” for a full 20 minutes as we discovered hand-hewn logs, an intricately designed fireplace, dozens of taxidermied animals, and windows with majestic views of ponds and mountains. We were flabbergasted that we would be spending the last four nights of our trip in such a paradise. We eventually tore ourselves away from the views to make a grocery run (shout out to Albertson’s), then started to rest. At sunset, we convened on the driveway and took our time watching the sky put on a show. When a storm rolled in later, we watched the thunder and lightning from the porch and eventually went to bed so happy.P.S. A few days into our stay, we got to meet the owners and their dogs, horses, and donkeys. Linda took her time showing us around and we really connected with her kindness and hospitality. Thank you so much, Linda!

Linda was very easy to communicate with and keeps a beautiful peice of land with her husband! We enjoyed the true cabin style and the amazing landscaping complete with duck ponds and bird feeders. We would recommend to anyone staying in the gateway area.

My family and I really enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. The location was great; easy driving distance to Bozeman, Big Sky, and Yellowstone. The cabin itself was beautiful, the pictures didn't really do it justice. It was very thoughtfully decorated and well stocked in terms of kitchen tools and everything you'd need on a stay. We really appreciated the multiple outside patio/porch/sitting areas. Linda was a great host, and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had an incredible stay at this property, it truly was perfect for our family of four. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, making meal prep a breeze. After long days of hiking, the mud room was a welcome feature for storing our gear and keeping things tidy. Both the front and back porches offered peaceful, private spaces to relax and unwind. We spent our days exploring the beautiful surroundings of Montana, but some of our favorite moments were right at the cabin sharing meals, playing games, and watching one of the most breathtaking sunsets we've ever seen.We would absolutely stay here again.

A super clean, well stocked and really really cool cabin home. Unique in design and overall feel. A great location - day trips to all national park destinations, quiet, private and awesome views out of every window. My highest recommendation and we would definitely be reserving when returning to the area.

Our trip included skiing at Bridger Bowl, Big Sky, a tour of MSU, exploring the North Gate of Yellowstone and spending time checking out Bozeman. The cabin’s location was perfect for all those trips. We enjoyed evenings by the fireplace and beautiful mountain views in the morning. The cabin is incredibly well-appointed. The hosts have thought of everything you might need. Highly recommended!

The cabin was nicely decorated, clean, and well appointed. We stayed for 9 days and felt very comfortable. We were able to cook and found that we had all the utensils we could have needed and the kitchen has modern appliances. The living rooms and bedrooms are cozy and we especially loved the fireplaces. The property offers great views and relatively easy access to Bozeman. It is a great launching pad to explore surrounding Bridger Bowl, Big Sky, Yellowstone, etc. We would definitely stay again.

The property is simply breathtaking with the ponds and beautiful landscaping. The bird-watching was a wonderful bonus to our stay too. My husband and I met his brother and wife for 5 wonderful nights in this cozy, pristine log home with two wonderful covered porches and a gas log fireplace in the LR and loft. It exceeded our expectations and we hated to leave! The cabin was so lovely to come home to after a long day on the road to and around Yellowstone. With the click of the remote, we had a fire to warm us! Hoping to return in the future!
