Stayed Jul 20, 2023We were a 4 couple group and this place was perfect for us!! The pictures tell the story and it doesn’t disappoint in person. It’s less than 10 minutes from all the action but tucked back in a beautiful wooded area. Beds were all great and the furnishings are first class. We especially enjoyed the 4 person hot tub! If we come back to this area I will definitely stay again. Only thing I would do differently is stay longer!

Stayed Dec 30, 2025Cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of space. My party consisted of 6 older adults and the only thing lacking was comfortable seating for all 6 in the living area. If it had been warmer weather we could have gathered on the porch or at the fire pit. We would definitely consider a return visit.

Stayed Jul 24, 2025Really enjoyed our stay at the Cub House, the location is fantastic. Close enough to drive where you want to go but off the main drag so you avoid a food chuck of the traffic. House is outfitted really well and they were quick to respond to any questions we had. They were willing to come out the day of to replace the toaster and bring foosball’s for the table. Really helpful. I would say the firepit area had quite a few weeds in it and the actual pit is rusted through but it was hot in July so we had plenty of other great areas to sit. Front and back porch were great. Overall a fantastic place to stay.

Stayed Jun 17, 2024This was our first time to the Smokey mountains. We had family from Michigan and California and the house is set up great for multiple families. Very spacious with 2 full bathrooms upstairs with 2 bedrooms. There was 1 1/2 bathrooms down stairs with 2 bedrooms. The master bed is downstairs with a very spacious bathroom. Had some trouble getting into the house but the host was very quick to respond. I would not hesitate to come back for another stay!

Stayed Dec 15, 2023We booked an 18 day stay . Second night there we were awoken by a loud digging noise. Pest control confirmed rat nest found. We were asked if we could move to more than one time to a different location and said yes. They never moved us. The owner (host) never spoke with us it was a crew of his. We left the day before Christmas Eve with small children on a 10. /12 hour trip home. They told us there was nothing they could do. We got part of our money back. Not ALL like it should have been. We had to leave 1,000 in groceries lost Dollywood tickets and Hatfield and McCoy tickets. The vents were full of rat droppings. We have pictures and videos. It was an awful experience. It ruined our Christmas. The first before us reported noises in walls nothing was done then. They knew still let us come to the home. VRBO would not do anything to help us we called 10 times to them to complain. They did nothing but contact the crew. There was a door to kitchen that did not lock that went out to the garage. And one with a garage door opener or code to side door could come directly into the house. Neither did anything to help us with door either. NIGHTMARE!!

Stayed Nov 16, 2023This home is just like the pictures show it to be. It is clean, welcoming and beautiful. It was in a great location just a short drive to Pigeon Forge and the Parkway. We rode the Alpine Coaster which is very close to the house and had a blast. We loved the natural setting with no neighbors directly upon us. The fire pit area was beautiful, but unfortunately we could not use it due to the statewide burn ban due to the very dry conditions, which is totally understandable. I would definitely consider rebooking for his house in the future when we visit. Very well pleased with the cleanliness and condition of the home. Loved the 80’s arcade game table upstairs too. Book it you won’t be disappointed! Please note: There are two bedrooms downstairs, the master and another. The only full bathroom is the one in the Master. There is a powder room just outside the door to the guest bedroom but if someone in the room would like there own shower/bath they will need to use the Master or go upstairs to share that guest bath.) One suggestion: please load up the house with more bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. We had to wash ours during our short stay.
