Teal Lake is a 1024-acre lake with lots of undeveloped shorelines and islands to explore. Teal is known for its' excellent fishing. It's also considered a "Quite Lake" because it has a 10 MPH speed limit for motorized boats. This means you won't be seeing and hearing Jet skis and ski boats rush by all day long while sitting lakeside or out fishing. If you like to explore for people kayaking, canoeing, and boatingthe six islands on Teal Lake are owned by the DNR and open to the public for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and exploring; two have picnic areas and grills so you can even do a shore lunch: one island can be camped on overnight. The Teal River is just down our shoreline, and that is also available for fishing, boating, and great for kayaking and canoeing. The depth of the water at the shoreline is a couple of inches and sandy and clear (great for kiddos and dogs), and just sand in that area if in a drought. Pretty much every worm you fish with from the dock will catch you a small panfish, if not bigger (have caught several muskies off the dock, a largemouth bass, and tons of perch, bluegill, crappies, and sunfish)
New in 2022 the owner has purchased two new Kayaks to explore the lake with. The Kayaks are free to use with the rental. Some adult-size lifejackets are available. Be sure to bring any youth-size jackets you might need to guarantee fit. Lifejackets are required to use the owner's kayaks. Paddles are also provided.
The cabin is in the heart of the Chequamegon National Forest that features some great and well-marked hiking trails. The Mukwonago Ski trail is also only 2 miles away.
A Note About Dogs:

We ask that your dogs be supervised when at the cabin and crated when you are not (One large crate is available at the cabin). We really loved this property and would rent again. We love to cook and it aroused the Julia child and galloping gourmet in us both. The views are stunning and the fireplace and wood arrangement are ideal. It's so well insulated that you can't even hear the rain outside. Best sleep on those temper pedic beds in years!
This was our second year at this cabin, the first with our 15 month old, and we absolutely love it. Very accommodating hosts, clean and spacious cabin, beautiful place to be in the fall! Love the view of the lake from the window & the dock is awesome. Saw a 39 inch musky be caught right by the dock. We already booked for next year!
Beautiful property and lake. Listing was accurate. Had a great time!
Great spot for exploring and enjoying the Northwoods recreational options
This place lived up to its name! The beautifully furnished, fully equipped up to date cabin on a gorgeous site was the perfect setting for our fall getaway! Many breathtaking trails for hiking, biking, XC skiing or snowmobiling are nearby. Extremely friendly and communicative property managers made our stay a breeze. We’re looking forward to a return visit soon!
Everything was great but it is a group of cabins, I was hoping it was more isolated. Other than that I would stay here again.
We had a lovely time. The property was clean, well stocked and nicely appointed. We stayed for a week and had everything we needed.
The cabin had everything we needed. Plenty of room for everyone. Especially liked the screened in porch for morning and evening relaxing. Had all the outdoor games for family fun. Kids had fun kayaking and paddle boarding the lake. Rented a pontoon boat and had a great time cruising the lake, and hanging out on the beach at McNott Island. Spacious deck allowed hanging out, reading and catching some sun. Plenty of pan fish action right off dock. Highly recommend for family vacation!!!!
Wonderful week with the family!!! The home was perfect for all our needs and wants. The view was beautiful, loved sitting and sipping coffee on the screened porch.♥️ The dogs loved walking in the area and sitting out by fire pit at night. All took advantage of the Presto pizza cooker. Also loved the dock and kayaks!! Looking forward to returning.♥️♥️
The cabin was excellent. Very clean and well stocked. Only issue was the Wi-Fi. It went down on Sunday morning and when we could get a text thru, a run around with the manager/owner to get it back up. A new router was literally tossed on the steps on Friday afternoon with no instructions. Too little too late. Would go back again, just don’t count on the Wi-Fi…bring lots of movies in case the weather is bad! Also, we did catch a ton of fish!
Great view of lake, good docks for our boats. Very clean cabin, and well stocked with towels, sheets, and blankets. All you can ask for a great vacation.
As stated very nice accommodations. How ever The dock was removed before I arrived, disappointed. Parking the trailer and boat was a bit of a hassle. Aside from that enjoyed my stay.
We were pleasantly surprised, as the property was even better than we anticipated.
very nice property, great lake views, excellent accommodations and very well kept.
This three bedroom, three bath cabin was just the ticket for our growing family. Everything was as advertised and we had no surprises. Teal Lake is a “quiet” lake meaning you won’t be seeing jet skis or ski boats. Pontoons are available for rent nearby if you don’t feel like paddling. I would recommend this property without reservation.
Nice getaway.
We had a fantastic stay at this cabin it was very clean and well equipped. It was perfect for our 2 young children 1 and 3 years old. We caught bluegill and perch off the pier and rented a boat to go explore the lake. We spent a lot of time swimming and watching the bald eagles fly overhead. We hope to return next summer !
We loved the cabin and the lake! It was great having 3 bathrooms for our family reunion. We rented a boat and the new dock was perfect! We loved exploring the lake's islands and fishing. We caught a couple of fish off of the dock but due to the rain our fishing the lake was a bust. We thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch and the view was spectacular. The slope of the yard made it easy for us to get to the lake especially for a few of us with health issues. Thanks for sharing this beautiful cabin with us!
The house was very nice and clean. The pier was great!
Very nice. My only issue was my boat. No dock to park and launch on Teal River launch was too shallow to put boat in. Not much parking space if came with other couples, unless there is more parking space in the area?
