No step, back door ramp entry into HIBERNATION HIDEAWAY that is a wonderful, relaxing log cabin that has had a makeover & is located in a peaceful wooded setting & has so much privacy all around. If rest & relaxation are as important as the convenience of being close to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, then take a closer look at this cabin! Conveniently located between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, just 3 miles off the Parkway, the main road that runs between the 2 towns. It has a gated wrap-around porch & a roomy yard for your pets & kids' safety.

The peaceful setting with plenty of trees for comfortable shade makes this the ideal location to easily access all the area events, restaurants, shopping & fun things to do. You will enjoy just a short 10-minute drive to either town, all on the main paved roads. Or, if just hibernating is what you like to do while vacationing, you will certainly enjoy the peacefulness & privacy of Hibernation Hideaway.

This wonderful log cabin is nestled in the mountains & located midway between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and convenient to all the attractions of the Smoky Mountains area. All roads going there are good main roads.

The large gated wrap-around porch has a roof cover so you can enjoy the large wooden porch swing & rocking chairs & 4-person hot tub in any kind of weather. The private yard has a hammock, firepit, charcoal grill, large picnic table & kids' tree swing with open land all around. There are no cabins on either side of the Hibernation Hideaway for all the privacy you are looking for in a mountain cabin stay.

The wide-open spaces around the cabin are wonderful for privacy & a fun place to play games or just relax in the oversized hammock. The fire pit is for marshmallow toasting & outdoor hot dog grilling, or just relaxing. There are chairs & 2 wooden log benches surrounding the firepit.

Enjoy the cozy living room that has a stone fireplace with remote-operated logs that can be used year-round for heat or just for a romantic ambiance. There is a 50 TV, a DVD player & movie library, ceiling fan, comfortable couch, recliner & rocking chair.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all updated appliances, a range, a dishwasher, a microwave & refrigerator w/ icemaker. There is also a blender, toaster, slow-cooker, George Foreman grill, Keurig & regular coffee maker. An abundance of dishes & cookware makes it easy for eat-in-the-cabin meals for 6 people with a dining table with 4 chairs & 2 log-type bar stools at the kitchen bar.

The laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer & is located on the main level.

The two bedrooms are located on different levels for privacy. The main-level bedroom has a queen memory foam bed, a large closet & a 32 TV, a DVD player, a ceiling fan & large closet. The main-level bath has a tub/shower.

The upstairs bedroom has a king memory foam bed & also a comfortable wooden trundle bed that will sleep 2 people separately, a jetted tub, a half bath with a closet, a 32 TV & ceiling fan.

There are no cabins on either side of the Hibernation Hideaway, just vacant land that offers privacy & can be enjoyed by pets & kids. A cabin across the road can be seen, so you will not feel isolated, but it does not affect the privacy of Hibernation Hideaway. The deck on the other cabin is on the backside of that cabin, so you will only see someone there when they are going to or from their vehicle.

The cabin was very cozy. We loved the outdoor space for our dogs and 2 year old daughter. The hot tub was very nice and relaxing in the cool evenings. We love the location as well and how close it was to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The host, Geri, was wonderful and very communicative with us on our stay and answering any questions we had. We will absolutely be back.

The host was great to answer any questions! The drive to the cabin is through a mountain neighborhood of sorts but the roads are well maintained! The cabin was clean and so neat. Good bit of outdoor area if you bring a pet. We would stay again!

OMG!!!! First vacation with the soon-to-be-in-laws!!! We stayed early November, absolutely beautiful fall colors, leaves falling, and little sprinkle here and there. A tad bit nippy at night. The cities are already putting up Christmas decorations!! Seen multiple bears while riding the trails!! House is cute and cozy! Perfect for two couples and a teenager! Hot tub clean and hot! Awesome fire pit areas for chilly nights! Ms. Geri is very inviting! Please read the rules and provided directions when first dinging the location! It really does help! You will appreciate how many times she tells you about the front door hehehe ? Hideaway is very centrally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Please take the scenic route every time you leave the house! It is well worth the drive when you see how beautiful the mountain is!!!

This cabin was well centered and gave ease of convenience to everywhere we wanted to go. It seemed like everthing was close and we were never bored. The roads were nice and the drive way was easily accessible. The firepit and outdoor grill made cooking out fun. The hot tub was warm, spacious, and very clean. Thank you for having us.

This cabin is perfect for a small family traveling with children or dogs! The yard and driveway are flat, and there is easy access to the cabin and closed in deck. The location is perfect and only a 15-30 minute drive to most attractions. We all slept well in the comfy beds and cool air conditioning.

The cabin was basically easy to find with the instructions given. The cabin was clean and cozy. This was our first vacation with our fur baby and it won't be our last. This is the perfect cabin for those who wish to bring their fur baby. The closed in porch was great. Plenty of places to sit and relax. We will definitely consider booking with Geri again. And who knows......we may book one of her other cabins she has.

Everything was great! We enjoyed easy check in, fire pit, hot tub. The bed upstairs was firm and comfortable. Downstairs bed was a memory foam. Dvds on site. Enough parking for truck, trailer and 2 motorcycles.

We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. We liked that the driveway was flat and easy for entering and exiting. We enjoyed seeing a mama bear and her cubs, although she startled me as I was walking our dog. (Be prepared for encounters if walking a dog.) We also enjoyed seeing a teen or young adult bear frolicking through the property. It was nice that we were able to bring our dog along and he was pretty content being in his crate near the back door and at the bottom of steps, to have a view of all things inside the cabin. It was also nice to be able to easily drive down a back way into Gatlinburg to quickly restock any groceries and to appease our youngest with treats at McDonalds. We liked that it was centrally located to our day hikes and adventures and relatively close to a Smoky Mountain's Visitor Center for retrieving info and a parking pass.
