Very much enjoyed our visit.
Everything was absolutely delightful! Beds were very comfortable and cabin was very clean. We enjoyed our short stay. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to enjoy the Shenandoah Valley National Park. Thanks again Don for the hospitality.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin had everything we needed and the property is beautiful! This location was convenient to many things we experienced...Luray Caverns, Storybook Trail, Hawksbill Greenway and Cooters Garage! (And Walmart is nearby) Most of all we enjoyed being together, eating meals on the screened porch and roasting Marshmallows and making smores at the fire pit. I also loved the quiet mornings drinking coffee on the deck with a nice mountain view. Our host, Don was helpful and gracious, along with his cute dog Rufus! We had a scenic drive home south on the Skyline Parkway.
Great place. Quiet and comfortable. Very clean. Stayed here with my son so we could do some hiking in National park. I would stay here again
This was delightful
My husband and I had a nice long weekend here. It was super cold out, so we really enjoyed the gas fireplace. The king size bed was very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped enough for us. It was too cold to spend much time on the beautiful deck, but we did step out to enjoy the stars!
Great spot! Beautiful home- lovely area, lovely space. Wonderful time.
This was a nice property, about 15 minutes from Luray, We had the back part of the main house, which has a nice deck overlooking the back of the property. We also had a screened in porch for eating dinner mosquito free. Everything was comfortable and in nice condition, and provided for us. My one suggestion would be to do a deep clean on the tub shower. It was full of black slime and buildup all around the edges, which was so gross to take a shower in. I wanted to take a bath in the jetted tub, but who knew what was in the jets, if the outside wasn't properly cleaned ? I would suggest a professional clean and re-caulk. as bathroom cleanliness is imperative when you rent a property to others. Other than that, we enjoyed the peace and beauty of this property, and relaxing area.
Don was a wonderful host. Garnerland is a perfect escape into nature and provides a comfy home away from home. It is a well laid out space, clean, and well stocked with essentials for cooking. It was central to many attractions our family wanted to visit. We appreciated, especially for the kids, the ability to get a peaceful night's sleep for our busy adventures during the day. Made many wonderful memories here and look forward to returning.
My wife and daughters had a very good break in the Luray Valley. The mountains and the fresh air made it for a great stay. Don was a great host, we will be back sometime soon.
The property is beautiful and the owner is very kind, but the description on VRBO does not make it clear that this is a shared property. You will be staying in the same house as both the owner and other guests. This personally made me uncomfortable and didn't meet my expectations for a weekend escape, but could be a good fit if that's what you are looking for.
Clean, comfy, owner very accommodating.
Cozy and quaint cabin which is part of a larger cabin. Nice and quiet. Relaxing environment and responsive on site owner.
Enjoyed the cozy cabin surrounded by trees.
We loved our stay! The property owner, Don, is very nice. The house was clean and very well supplied with everything we would need. The location is centrally located with a lot of fun places to visit close by. We loved everything about our long weekend in Luray!
Don was a great host, friendly and informative. The property was cozy, clean and provided a mountain getaway feel with nothing to bring except ourselves. Location is conveniently near both Luray caverns downtown and day trip hiking on skyline drive. Would definitely stay again
Beautiful property. So relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay.
This rental is in a great location close to Luray Caverns and the Shenandoah National Park. Overall our stay was nice. Beds could could be replaced as they seem to be very worn. Some concerns about the lack of cleaning before we arrived. And very few cleaning supplies in the cabin for us to use. Was awkward having our entry going through the other locations porch having a direct view to their main social area. Washer and dryer were great to have but gas dryer didn’t have an exterior vent and made the cabin Extremely warm when in use. We would definitely consider staying again if these details were addressed.
