Packwood is an outdoor wonderland, surrounded by mountains, rivers and wildlife. After a hard day of hiking, skiing, biking or just walking the river and viewing wildlife, come back to relax and unwind creekside. You can sit by the creek, roast marshmallows in the firepit, or play board games with the family. Our family would like to share this wonderful experience with our guests and strive to make it the most comfortable and relaxing visit possible.

Don't worry, though, the cabin is well-equipped with all of the modern amenities for a comfortable stay, including internet access. Upstairs, fall asleep to the sounds of the creek in the main bedroom's queen-sized bed, with its adjoining bath. In the morning, brew a cup of coffee in the master's coffee maker and enjoy it on the attached porch overlooking the creek. The guest bedroom across the hall has a double bed, and the bathroom next door has a tub/shower combo. Off the living room, our versatile bunkroom has a bunk bed and a double, so it can be used for the kids or adults.

The beautiful kitchen has a stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and all of the utensils, dishes, glasses and cookware you need to cook meals for 2 or 12. It includes both a keurig and traditional coffee pot and basic spices. The dining table, crafted from a fir tree on the property, seats 6-8 comfortably and a breakfast bar adds two more seats. The custom-built river rock fireplace burns logs for cozy winter afternoons. If you are visiting in warmer weather, all doors have walk-through screens to let in summer breezes. The creek side of the cabin includes a porch, a patio with table and chairs, and a large firepit.

Whether you come for the outdoor adventure or a quiet getaway, the Creekside Cabin is the rental for you!

Very nice house. There is a creek running very close by the house, and it's a real creek, not a trickle, and the sound of the rushing water is awesome. The house was great for our group of 6 adults. The only complaint was the lack of AC. Our visit was in late August and the temperatures were way above normal. Unusually warm for the location. But we left the windows open at night to let the cool air in and it worked out very well. I imagine this is probably an awesome place for skiers going to White Pass to stay. I have no reservations on recommending the place.

This cabin is charming and is in a fantastic location in the woods and near Mt. Rainier. The owner was friendly and helpful. This cabin has great potential! However, the cabin needs some TLC. First, when we arrived we were overwhelmed with many cobwebs and live and dead spiders. My husband spent the first one and a half hours vacuuming spiders, webs, etc. I found egg sacs and live spiders in with the pots and pans. I hand washed every dish before I used it. After our stay, there are less spiders (at least for a while.) Granted this property is in the woods, but it seemed to us that these webs had been there for a while. We brought ground coffee to use in the traditional coffee pot, but the water reservoir, the filter area, and the pot were beyond filthy (beyond my cleaning)- I refused to use it. I went to the store to buy Keurig pods to use with the clean Keurig. Also, the master bedroom mattess was horrible - there is a ridge rising up out of the matress. We sunk into the middle. My husband and I didn't sleep well. Obviously all of this didn't bother previous renters (we're a bit shocked by that), but its not what we expect from a VRBO. Overall, this cabin has great potential and the owner is very polite, but the cabin needs some work.

The cabin was absolutely perfect for the last leg of our National Park trip! It felt like we were staying in someone’s home, not their rental. Highly recommend!

Cozy and fun! Packwood has all you need to adventure into Mt Rainier National Park and this property is great jumping off point to explore the wild, wind down after a busy day in the trails, or wandering j to town to take part in some eats and live music. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to visit Mt Rainier!

We loved our stay here! It was close to town and we liked restaurant options there as well as just a few minutes from Mount Rainier National Park. We liked entering the park from the less busy side and had no trouble getting to where we needed. The cabin has more space than anticipated and the 6 of us slept comfortably in provided beds. We even took a short walk down to the river for a dip one hot afternoon. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking our own meals as well!

We had a great time staying here. It was exceptionally clean, roomy, great location, beautiful creek with such a peaceful area. The kitchen had everything we needed with basic spices and supplies. There’s a great walk in the neighborhood that leads to beautiful views. The beds were very comfortable. It was close to the park entrance and just down the street from downtown packwood. Communication was clear and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
