Fishing & Rafting: McKenzie River Cabin!

This secluded cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It felt like we were living at home. We will definitely ba back for future stays. We were hoping for snow but on the 3rd day as we were to leave there was a small amount of snow on the ground.

Well cleaned, perfect location. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute and charming home. Everything was well kept and everything needed was available. Bed and sheets were super comfortable. Disappointed because there were no blinds or curtains on any of the windows, even the bathroom. It did not make us comfortable. The motion lights came on at 2:30am and stayed on for 4 hours making it difficult to sleep. Overall a nice stay.

This cabin was exactly what we hoped for! Comfortable beds and furniture, scenic views that kept us feeling connected to the picturesque nature/river around us, charming decor, and all the kitchen items to enjoy our favorite meals. We recommend this lodging and hope to return in the future!

Absolutely the perfect place for rest and relaxation. It was close to a 2 lane highway but you could hardly hear the traffic over the sound of the river. Just beautiful and very well appointed.

My daughter and I soent Thanksgiving here. Very nice house, we enjoyed staying along the river. Magnificent!

This house is title, “ Quiet Romantic Getaway.” Which is a joke.The house is literally on top of a busy highway. The house itself is lovely, decor very busy, the outside stream is what we came for and we’re greatly disappointed to find the reality of what we were stuck with. Especially for paying premium prices. Quiet and private romantic getaway is far from truth. The exhaust from the semi trucks occasionally filling the air space. It’s so loud from the vehicles that you have to almost yell for any conversation. This stay was very conflicting, because the river and deck is ideal, but the hwy being that close, busy and loud left me constantly frustrated at the false advertisement of the property. The next door neighbors so close you definitely don’t feel alone. If you look through the reviews, we are not the only ones feeling trickedWe advocated for a partial refund since we paid premium prices which was denied.

Cozy and comfortable place with all the amenities. We lounged by the fire while drinking coffee in the morning. In the afternoons we drove to nearby hiking trails and in the evenings we enjoyed the spectacular view of the river from the back porch. The only slightly down side to this place is the road noise just beyond the river on the opposite bank, otherwise it’s pretty dreamy.

The place was so nice and peaceful. It was very clean and well appointed with everything you need including very good wifi which is normally hit or miss in this area. The covered deck and fire pit were the perfect setting for reading or just watching the river flow by.

Very nice little place on the river. We had a very pleasant time on a couples weekend getaway. Not that TV is our thing however, we did plan on having playoff games to watch and a movie night. Unfortunately it was not advertised as not having a tv. Fortunately, we also had planned on playing games and got excellent use of our additional free time. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

The location and ambieance of this property was ideal for the way we wanted to spend our time. It is a proper little home with all the amenities and fully stocked. It was peaceful and meditative stepping onto the back porch to sit with a cup of tea and have the river inches away. It is true that the highway on the other side of the river is active but we were out hiking during the day and the traffic was nearly non-existent after 5pm. The wifi was really unreliable and there is no television so be prepared for quiet time, conversation, or indulging in a good book.
