Loved our stay here. We enjoyed everything about the property. Very relaxing and was in a perfect location for all the things we wanted to do with our visit to Colorado. Loved using the telescope at night and looking at stars each night was something we looked forward to each night after our busy days. Would have loved to use the fireplace but unfortunately the week we were there it was to hot to use but will definitely be staying here again and maybe next time it will be colder that we will be able to enjoy sitting around with family enjoying the fireplace.

The cabin was perfect for a relaxing weekend. We heard little vehicle traffic which made it feel as though we had the whole mountain to ourselves. The cabin was well stocked with all the needed cooking equipment. I would 100% stay here again!

This was one of the best rentals I’ve ever had. The host were wonderful. The cabin was set up spectacular. There were indoor and outdoor items and kitchen items and bathroom items and bedroom items beyond what I have ever seen. They had everything you could need you almost didn’t even need to bring anything. I brought extras and didn’t even have to use it because the cabin was so well stocked. It had phone charges for you, which was great because I left mine in the car. It was freezing cold didn’t wanna have to go back out to my car to get it And there was some there inside for us. The whole cabin was just excellent so well stocked. The view was excellent. We saw deer came down into the valley area there just such a serene area and place. The porch and the deck was great also. The pre instructions and info they send you ahead of time is great and covers all areas. The roads can be a bit winding and there was snow patches but the snow plow people were out and plowing and that made the roads better. We just went slow and we were fine.Again, this is a great place to stay.

This was such an amazing find ! Beautiful serene property , was better than imagined . We came for the Aspens color change and while we were here the colors changed and so amazing in person . We had an issue where we misplaced the key and were locked out at almost midnight , and the owners were so prompt in responding and got us in . We were so appreciative ! The Cabin is beautiful , fully stocked and very clean . Thank you so much for being such wonderful hosts

Little scary on the roads getting to your cabin. Your directions were spot on. We had a great time loved the peace and quiet. Saw deer and a red fox. Spotless and so homey, great recommendations of where to eat, grocery shop etc. Kitchen had everything you would need.Thank you!Terry, and my bride of 54 years, Jane Koehler

Cozy cabin in the woods was ideal for a family get away. We had brought our English Shepherd dog with us and there was ample room to walk him on traffic free roads. The location is isolated enough that we saw mule deer two evenings from the deck of the cabin. The home was clean and provided all the amenities we needed. The host responded quickly to questions and concerns. I discovered a couple of hours after we left for home that I had left an item of considerable value at the cabin. Host Gene was very considerate in working with me to get it returned timely. Sights nearby worth visiting are Mueller State Park, Florissant National Monument, hike to Horse Thief Falls, and gold mining town Cripple Creek. Farther away and busier, but worth visiting, are Garden of the Gods at Colorado Springs and the Cog Railroad to the summit of Pikes Peak at Manitou Springs.

Great location -- the view is beautiful, especially in the mornings. Hosts gave us lots of information and everything went really smoothly. Lots of things to see and do in the area. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. The only drawback would be that the driveway is a little steep and there's not much room for more than one car. We had a wonderful time!

This was our third or fourth stay at this cabin, and it's continued to grow better each time. I appreciate the ability to disconnect, though there is wifi if needed. The best part is how secluded and tranquil it is. Every stay I've seen mule deer graze through. The updates, including solar panels and a digital display showing the water tank's fill level is great. It was very cozy and the weather was gorgeous.

My favorite thing about the property was the view and quiet location. My kids enjoyed the board games. The kitchen was well stocked, and the owners communicated instructions very well. I might caution a family with young kids to take note that there is not a bathtub, and the stairs are a little daunting for little ones. We managed well regardless, but those are things I didn't think about beforehand.

You absolutely can not go wrong with this property! You can’t ask for a better location. Far enough away from everything to enjoy the beautiful mountainous area but close enough to all the wind activities like Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. The cabin has everything you need and the owners were terrific about communicating. Can’t recommend more highly.

This is a beautiful cabin with wrap around porch that overlooks a gorgeous open view of nature. Although you dont have to drive too far to get to town if you need something, it is definitely off the beaten path without close neighbors for a very secluded feel. It was exactly what we were looking for over spring break with our 12 yr old daughter. She loved staying in the spacious loft. We spent every evening in the cabin playing games and enjoying the fireplace. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely getaway with beautiful scenery!

This cabin is a total delight! The mountain views are spectacular and we didn’t even want to leave the cabin for day trip activities. We hiked down to the creek and found deep snow drifts, even did some sledding right in the valley! Our kids loved it. The cabin was clean and the wood burning stove was so cozy. Watching the water level was no problem. The roads in the neighborhood are dirt, but plowed and extremely well-maintained. We saw beautiful birds, no big horn sheep at the cabin, although we saw some sheep at Garden of the Gods! Thanks Gene and Nancy for sharing your home with our family! We hope to return someday.

Everything was wonderful. Couldn’t have had a better experience. Since conditions were a bit snowy, having a 4WD vehicle was helpful. Road to cabin winds quite a bit…but we were forewarned of this dynamic before we booked. Saw deer the first night!

We absolutely enjoyed our time at this mountain cabin. The views were beautiful! We saw Mule Deer and a herd of Big Horn Sheep grazing on site. The cabin itself was clean, well maintained, and stocked with things we may have forgotten. Even though we weren’t able to use everything, there were games, puzzles, books, movies, bikes and more for guests. We appreciated their thoughtfulness to have provided those items. Our overall experience was exceptional!

We loved staying here. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the towns, but close enough to drive in for groceries or a bite to eat. The house had everything we needed and we even used the wood burning stove one cool night. We went and did an electric bike tour through Garden's of the God's which was spectacular and we got caught in a downpour. It was definitley a memorable experience. I would recommend this quiet, secluded cabin to anyone wanting to enjoy a nice quiet week away from all the city stuff.

The cabin was clean and cozy! It was very secluded and peaceful. Sitting on the porch, looking at the mountain view was wonderful. Our kids enjoyed the stay and so did we. The cabin was pretty well stocked with supplies. The owners were great to text back if we had concerns. It was far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and private, but you could easily drive up to Divide, or Woodland Park. Colorado Springs was 45 min-1hr but the drive was beautiful! Watching the water levels and having it run low was a bit tricky, but would not stop us from staying again! We hope to be back! Highly recommend. 🙂

There's plenty to do on and around the property and town. We highly recommend it for a quiet getaway or hanging with family and friends.

If you want a rustic cabin up in the mountains with some amazing views and sparse neighbors, this is 100% absolutely perfect. It sits about 40 minutes west of Colorado Springs but Woodland Park isn't too far up the road if you need a Wal-Mart. There are neighbors nearby but there are very few places visible from the property and you'll only hear an occasional dog or vehicle pass by. If you're into stargazing, it's world-class on the back deck of the property! There's also a cul-de-sac a few hundred feet off the end of the driveway that has wide open dark sky if you wanted a more panoramic view. Absolutely stunning on a clear night. It's worth mentioning that the route into and away from the house can be pretty confusing without GPS the first couple of times. There's pretty poor cell signal in the area so we had to save an offline map to get us to and from the house while we were there. It's incredibly scenic though with some top-tier views of Pikes Peak so don't let that warning deter you. It's like your own private view. The road leading back to the house has a few steep grades on it. We had no major problems getting a Jetta back and forth during the summer but you would definitely need some 4WD if there was ice or snow on the road during your stay. There's also a Tesla charger on the property if you own one. I will *definitely* check the availability on this house the next time my family decides to vacation in Colorado. I was completely satisfied with this booking!
