This amazing property is totally surrounded by the beautiful National Forest. With plenty of outdoor seating to listen to the sound of the rushing water of the waterfalls on the property, you can gaze out at the water as it cascades over large moss-covered boulders and feel the magic around you! Light up the propane grill on the deck, throw on some steaks, and pour yourself a glass of wine from one of the nearby wineries. This home is close to The Ruins at Kellum Valley Farm, a very unique North Georgia wedding venue.
The area is perfect for hiking in the national forest. Come home to this peaceful cabin and relax in the outdoor hot tub. Breathe in the cool mountain air and watch the stars twinkle in the night sky. Or enjoy the indoors and play a game of pool in the game room while your guests sit around the large built in stone bar. Satellite TV is available to watch your favorite shows and WiFi is provided for keeping in touch with the outside world - that is if you want to!
Falling Waters at Mustang Creek can be rented during any season. Imagine this beautiful property in winter with snow and icicles on the waterfalls. Visit Alpine Helen, only 10 miles away, and enjoy one of Helen's signature restaurants. In summer time, the kids and adults can tube on the Chattahoochee or Dad can try his hand at fly fishing! The fall season is a beautiful time of year to enjoy the changing leaf colors and Oktoberfest in Helen is an event not to be missed.
The property was in a beautiful location. It needs a little TLC. Upon entering the cabin you were overwhelmed by the moldy musty smell. Outside needed power washed to get mold off all the decks. My adult son slipped on it. Towels were dirty and smelled so I washed them before we used them. Shower in main bathroom only worked by using the handheld attachment. There were other minor things but with a little attention this place would be fabulous. Beautiful creek with little waterfalls makes this property what it is.
My family and I enjoyed christmas vacation in this beautiful cabin! We love the privacy we had. The cabin is so gorgeous and relaxing!
Perfect for our trip with two adults and three teenagers!
We came up for hiking Waterfalls in area. Cabin close to town but yet secluded enough to get away from it all! Enjoyed listening to the creek while drinking coffee in the mornings and enjoying some wine at night. Little touches from the rental company were so nice for the Kitchen and Bathrooms. After hiking I didn’t enjoy the stairs as much but my daughter had a blast there with the spiral staircase and game table downstairs. I did contact them about minor listing issue but they advised they corrected listing for future bookings. Overall a great place to stay, enjoy and relax.
First look of our cabin when arriving: it was just what we hoped for. Beautiful mountain cabin somewhat secluded in GA mountains and woods. We loved: surroundings, the feel of the log cabin, loved the pool table and we had many family tournaments. We loved the little creek and if it hadn’t rained the last two days we for sure would’ve enjoyed the wonderful fire pit along the creek (a creek, yes!!!) Great! Points of improvement: schlepping our dishes between the two kitchens (one with a stove and one with a dishwasher) via the narrow staircase was weird (annoying!). Things that we couldn’t find: a strainer, a medium size pan that wasn’t rusted, serving spoons, a garlic press and a broom but we made due. There were also just 4 forks. Also, to call it a three bedroom is a stretch. The little top floor where they placed an little “army stretcher” is part of the big bedroom. We have two teen boys that don’t care too much where or what they sleep on but if I would’ve brought my mom thinking that bedroom would be an option, we would be out of luck. Cleanliness: sticky fingers on dirty windows, dusty surfaces and cobwebs. Someone drilled holes in the outside walls which left a lot of sawdust on all the outside decks. The outside chairs on the middle and lower deck where also bend / broken (two chairs from the outside dining set and all of the chairs on middle deck). Again we made due and things that can easily be fixed. The cabin worked for our family.
The house was clean and comfortably furnished. It had the basic spices and cooking utensils the beds and couches were comfortable. There is no downstairs fridge, so bring a cooler unless you want to get your stair steps in. The fire pit was nice next to the babbling creek. The hot tub was convenient as well. It is close to a few restaurants and a huge Ingles grocery store. We would definitely stay again.
Great location!
Not much negative to say about this cabin! I’ve seen in other reviews that the spiral staircase is quite small, and it is. And the downstairs area could use a mini fridge or something. Those are my only issues with the cabin. The waterfall in the back was beautiful and to hear that water running at night while going to sleep is wonderful. Other cabins surround you but are basically separated by woods. Beautiful cabin, I would recommend it to anyone!
Great, romantic getaway with beautiful scenery and even fun things like games and a pool table to entertain us.
When we got to the cabin we took our shoes off when we entered. Our feet were filthy and you could feel dirt on the floor after walking around . The kitchen ware was Telflon and it was scratched up. The stove was gas and I’m not sure Teflon is good to use on a gas stove. The dishes were thrown in the cabinet. Nothing in the kitchen was organized. The cooking utensils were thrown in a drawer all jumbled up. There wasn’t a lot of eating utensils and they were mixed matched. The dishes were mixed matched and very few. No cups or glasses only coffee mugs. The drive way was so steep on one side we had to put the truck in 4 wheel drive to get out. The toilet beside kitchen ran the whole time. The windows were filthy. There were a lot of stairs in the house. One stair was a spiral staircase which was hard for the men to go up and down. We had to go outside to take things to the downstairs. There wasn’t any lighting out back. We called about that and they said the fixture was ordered so we couldn’t enjoy sitting outside at night. The furniture was worn and looked dirty. I had a hard time getting out of the bed upstairs because there is a wooden piece that goes across the side. I feel the description was not clear about the house and the pictures are older pictures. The view was beautiful and it was quite. We got a lot of exercise from the stairs. We learned our lesson as this was our first time staying at a house. We will definitely pay more attention to details.
Convenient location for Helen and Cleveland. Nice creek flowing in back yard. Very solid amenities- would stay here again.
This place exceeded our expectations, the pictures didn’t do it justice! Great scenery and plenty of attractions nearby!
My Husband and I had an amazing relaxing weekend at this beautiful mountain property! We fell in love with the views the moment we entered the driveway. Property is very private- cant see any other neighbors from the back decks. The Firepit, hot tub, pool table were all definite bonuses for this place! The waterfall in the creek was such a cool feature- we fell asleep listening to it every night! The house lay out is a little odd, however, LOTS of stairs so the elderly or very small children would have issues. The weird winding staircase is quite difficult to navigate- we usually went outside and used the deck stairs instead. The house was clean and the bed was super comfy. Overall we had an amazing time and would visit this property again !!
