Stayed Nov 22, 2025Everything was great in the little time we spent there. We, unfortunately, had a family emergency and was only able to be there 2 days of our 1 week booking. It was beautiful, secluded, and relaxing.

Stayed Oct 14, 2025It was a little tough getting there--definitely need all wheel drive, but worth the drive. The house was beautiful, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hot tub did wonders after hiking all day. Avoid Gatlinburg (overcrowded tourist trap), instead, enjoy the small town at the bottom of the mountain. Be sure to drive the Foothills Parkway to get some great views of the Smokies. You may want to bring your own water. The house uses well water that is safe to drink but has a sulfur odor. The fenced in yard was great for the pups.

Stayed Oct 4, 2025Cabin was perfect. Margaret Hollow Way was in need of severe road repair. Terrible areas washed out, deep ruts, gravel washed out, areas that were paved had washed out, very narrow road--unable to meet other vehicles.

Stayed Sep 21, 2025The road accessing the cabin is a bit rough but it was a beautiful cabin. The bears were in several days to visit. The Internet is sketchy but it worked enough for us to use our phones and make calls. Property was clean and staff helped us with issues. Hot tub was wonderful and so was the porch. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the rain.

Stayed Sep 9, 2025The rental company we booked through, Bear Tootin, was great! The check-in process was seamless with no required office visit, and the company was easily accessible throughout our visit. Their service guy came right out when we reported an issue with no lighting in part of the main level. He was professional and courteous. The cabin “Margaret Hollow,” was private/secluded with no neighbors in site, which was nice. The photos of the rental property are accurate and the cabin is in good shape. The location of the cabin is a short drive to Pigeon Forge, where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities for all ages. Now, a few complaints and/or concerns I hope will help future renters of this property. The road getting to the cabin was in very bad condition. A 4WD vehicle is recommended in the rental description, but I would say 4WD is required due to several areas in the road that are in desperate need of repair. The water could be treated due to it smelling like rotten eggs/sulfur (we know this can happen with well water and can be remedied). The sofa could use a good deep cleaning or replaced due to smelling like wet dog. We placed a quilt over it to try to help cover the smell, which did help a little. There is a spiral staircase on the main level leading down to the lower 2nd bedroom area and deck with the hot tub. The entry to the staircase is awkwardly located and has no barrier, which could pose safety concerns if you have small children.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025Loved being so far up the mountain. Quiet and peaceful. I originally grew up in WV and this just felt like home. I would have liked to have a chair in the downstair bedroom.
