Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom log home is located in the heart of our resort, it is just around the corner from our swimming pool and clubhouse. Settle-in to the comfortable living room, watch the BIG SCREEN TV, and admire the glowing fireplace. The spacious fully equipped kitchen and dining areas make putting together great meals and snacks a breeze. If you decide to dine outside there is a grill and patio furniture there at your disposal. Each bedroom has a lovely queen-sized bed; however, the master bedroom, located upstairs, offers a bedside Jacuzzi. You can challenge your friends to a game of pool in the game room, or take a dip in the huge screened-in hot tub out on the deck. Action packed Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are just minutes away for unlimited shopping and wonderful area restaurants.
Beds are hard as a rock, couch was broken down (similar comments in reviews from 2017). Upstairs shower leaks and water comes out of light switch in first floor bathroom. (Would attach pics if it let me)… overall a good cabin to enjoy time with family but doesn’t seem like owners attend to it much in regards to customer satisfaction.
Very nice cabin. Everything is just as shown/advertised
We had a good experience here and would rent this cabin again
Overall was a good stay but found dirty towels in one of closets
This could be a place to rent if it was actually updated so it could be clean. The housekeeping does the best they can with what is there. As far as the kitchen - we went and bought a pan so we could cook some breakfast. The big pan that was there was dirty from previous renters. The grill is useable but I would suggest bringing Reynolds wrap. The carpet is old and stained along with the kitchen floor. It is way overdue for being replaced along with the couch...you literally sink to the bottom of the couch - should at least replace the padding. It is close to grocery stores and things to do in town. The pool table was nice to have for the kids.
We as a family decided at the last minute to take a family trip and invited some friends to go with. The property was just advertised. Location was great close everything downtown.
Overall, a nice stay. Simple, and close to the center of pigeon forge. Jacuzzi tub is giant. TVs have been updated since the photos and the TV in the room with the jacuzzi tub can be pulled over to face the tub for viewing. A few things from our stay that might be helpful to know: Location: Google maps leads you to a house a couple doors down. This particular house is also marked with the name Close to Heaven instead of Heavenly View. Also note that the driveway is quite steep. We had the clearance for it in a Subaru Forester, but not certain if sedans would. Furniture is a bit worn, but still okay. Also, the hot tub was set to the hottest setting that was entirely too hot- the dial to turn it down is behind the wooden paneling on the side (it took a while to cool down enough, so just putting this as a tip if you want to enjoy the hot tub). Kitchen has some tools, but no cookie sheet and absolutely no staples (even no salt or pepper). Someone had mentioned towels, which there were more than enough towels for three of us for bathing and the hot tub. Might need to bring more if you have more adults (not sure how it would feasibly sleep 6 people. I'd say 4, because the couch probably wouldn't make for very comfortable sleeping) Happy vacationing!
Name of house is Close to Heaven., not Heavenly View. Quiet neighborhood yet still close to grocery stores, Pink Jeep Tours, and restaurants/shops/attractions/ National Park. Traffic on Parkway is heavy so take side roads to get to get a traffic light to get to it. We grabbed food at Krogers (without getting on Parkway) and cooked at cabin. Nice kitchen. Linen service was nice to have. No Wifi available for guests. Needs power strip for USB ports. Couch and chair in living room need replacing. No springs in cushions so a bit uncomfortable. Nice screen porch in back but screen has large hole.
Enjoyed staying there - easy access, convenient to grocery and various restaurants ... quiet neighborhood and although distant, nice view of mountains.
Very nice for the price, could use a few more dishes and cookie sheets to cook meals In the oven, and needed kitchen towels and pot holders, but was very clean
