Entire Cabin: Step Back in Time at The Piney Lodge

The main bathroom was tiny. The shower was 2’ by 2’ and there wasn’t any room to move. The shower doors didn’t close tight. The place was hot, not much breeze. Floors were dirty. Kitchen was old. Only tv in the family room was tiny. Not worth the money spent. 4:00 check in is late, but we knew about that when booking. House phone rang at 10 pm - we had been getting up early to hike so we were in bed. Would’ve been nice if ringer was off.

As a senior who loves camping, but doesnt camp anymore because its too much work and uncomfortable, i was very happy to find this perfectly furnished and comfortably supplied cabin tucked in the Grand Lake area overlooking Shadow Mtn Lake with a spectacular view of the Rockies from the deck. It couldnt have been more perfect. We are 4 senior happy campers who didnt have to camp to experience the satisfaction and joy we received from our Piney Lodge rental.

The cabin was stocked with everything you might need. Very comfortable & cozy. Great view of mountains. Fireplace! You name it, Piney Lodge has it!! Could sit on that front porch forever! Very clean.

This cabin is clean, comfy, well stocked, with fantastic views and short drives to the necessities. Lots of things to do nearby, trails, scenic drives, national parks, fishing, hiking, restaurants. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.

The cabin was very nice and clean and well stocked. It was easy to locate and very close to Grand Lake downtown as well as Rocky Mountain National Park. You can pretty much find anything you need within 5 minutes range. Beside, Heather was very friendly and helpful to answer all questions we had and provided great detailed information before we came. Highly recommended!!

The description of the cabin and the location were perfect. Family and I enjoyed it and look forward to returning again in the future. Everything was as described of not better.

Wonderful stay and such a cute cabin!

We loved the retro vibe of this cabin. It was quaint and comfortable. Everything was as expected and my family enjoyed our quiet time here. The fort in the back was especially cool for my kids to explore.

My wife and I stayed in the cabin from Sunday to Thursday. We will definitely be coming back. It is located just outside of the town of Grand Lake, which for us was perfect. We had complete privacy and we were able to be away from the crowds after dinner. Access is super easy, the wifi works great and Heather is an awesome host. She answers questions quickly and makes you feel very welcome.The cabin has everything you would need and most things that you may have forgotten.

Just what we were looking for.

Location is great! Clean, great amenities, nice place to stay!It advertises as for 6 adults. We had 3 adults and 3 teenagers. It felt a bit cramped. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Just as advertised, rustic cabin and just what my son and I were looking for.

We had a fabulous stay at Heather’s house. Best place to finish our 2 week trip across Colorado!

Has everything you need

We had a marvelous stay in Grand Lake! It's only minutes away from RMNP which we visited just about everyday! The cabin is well kept and has every supply you will ever need! We spent every morning and evening on the beautiful porch looking at mountains! Moose walked across the road from us!Thank you to Heather and family for sharing this great experience with us!

Nice place but not walkable to town

The place was very comfortable beautiful view my only complaint was that we are sensitive to smells and the air freshener was to much even after putting outside but other than that it was comfortable

Heather has been very kind and supportive of our requests on certain things during our stay. Cabin is conveniently located about 5-7 min drive to Grand lake

Awesome cabin with everything you need, in a quiet area. The location is a great spot to make excursions from for the day.

Piney Lodge was so enjoyable, comfortable, well supplied and clean! We loved the view of the mountains from the cabin and balcony! We could have sat the balcony all day, watching the mountains and the weather! We loved being so close to RMNP!The decor and pine paneling brought back great memories! The cabin is totally supplied with everything imaginable, especially the kitchen and spices! Thanks for an awesome stay in Grand Lake!
