Stayed Sep 28, 2025The cabin was nice. My family had a great time there. We probably spent more time at the cabin than anywhere else the week we were there. Kids loved the indoor pool, the arcade games & pool table. There is a lot of stairs, so we definitely got our exercise in from going up & down to get to the different floors everyday. The floor in the game room by the sliding door is weak & feels like its very soft or rotted under linoleum. The dock was difficult to get on bc the lake level was down making the ramp to it like a very steep fast slide instead. The older kids had fun sliding down it but it was not accessible for younger ones or those of us not physically fit. Overall we loved the cabin & had a great week while we were there. Definitely will come back (before Sept next time, when the lake is up) & would recommend to others.

Stayed Jun 28, 2025An actually relaxing vacation. Our 6 kids aged 4 through 14 all had a blast. We rented a boat for the week, fished, tubed, swam, played board games. Never made it to Dollywood as the kids didn’t not want to leave the lake. House had a great set up. Appreciated the pool alarm with the littles. There are a lot of strep steps, we managed well (got a leg work out in daily) but not meant for those limited by mobility. Bears are there so be mindful. There was construction while we were there on neighboring houses but did not bother us. Roads are narrow, winding, and stent times, just take your time. Thanks for an amazing vaca!

Stayed Jun 14, 2025The house is beautiful filled with everything we could want for our family vacation. Unfortunately, the stairs and the additional wall down to the dock as a little more rough on my elderly parents. (78 yrs old) The location on the south side of the lake is going to be amazing in a few years as it develops but still a little underdeveloped with a bit of a trip to groceries/marinas/etc. We absolutely loved the lake, the dock was perfect for our SeaDoos, and our youngest LOVED the small but perfect indoor pool! Kitchen was well stocked. FYI - there are thermostats on all levels not just the main floor.

Stayed Apr 12, 2025Overall we had a great experience at Calm on the Water. The drive to the house was a little tough as not all the roads are finished and they are steep. Please keep that in mind. I would recommend a 4x4 in winter months. The water level was a little low still but luckily our dock was in the water unlike some other properties the house was clean and the amenities were great for our family. The pool, arcade games and hot tub kept everyone busy. The house was about 20-40 minutes from most attractions. We visited Dollywood, gaitlinburg and pigeon forge. We would love to stay again when the water level is at peak. We rented a boat at H2O sports and had a great time on the lake. .

Stayed Oct 20, 2024It was a great stay. Quiet, although the cabins are very close together. Very clean cabin with nice finishes. The lake was so low that the dock was on dry ground.

Stayed Aug 17, 2024My family and I stayed in the cabin for a five days/three night trip, we are from Ohio so we were looking forward to a relaxing Gatlinburg trip. We have two young ones, a seven year old and a 16 month old. We loved our trip over all but there were some dislikes about it. The PROS: it was a beautiful roomy house. However it did have a lot of unfinished wood on the hand railing and the stairs which my soon to be mother in law got a couple splitters from. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Plenty of plates and silverware. The game room was fun for us adults as a late night hangout. The CONS: The sliding doors are VERY hard to lock. There were so many ants big and little, we had to throw away a whole loaf of bread. The pool was not cleaned at all when we were there and it also wasn’t heated. The fan in the living room didn’t work. Also there is SO much construction going on, at 7 in the morning there were construction vehicles driving past our house. I do wish I was warned about all the new buildings and construction because it was a huge disruption in our trip. Overall it was nice 3/5. The view was beautiful, the beds were comfy. The house is just not suitable for a 16 month old. Hope this helps with picking your vacation home!

Stayed Jul 19, 2024Great location and property and had the advantage of being the third party through a brand new property so things were still brand new. The property and amenities were great, great dock and location to swim in the lake and close enough proximity to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to hit all the area attractions within easy driving distance. Great communication with the property manager on a couple minor questions and extremely prompt and helpful responses. Some construction in the area currently (Jul-24) as it's a new development but its a very neat area. Thanks for helping make a great family vacation.
