Beautiful location! Jean, our host, was most friendly and kind. She offered a lot of advise on sights to see. The view of Wyoming from the property was amazing, with a clear view of the night sky. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay a few nights, for a peaceful retreat. Signed, Your Cincinnati Friends
The basement was very clean! Jean was very nice!
About 1 1/2 hours from south entrance of Grand Teton. Beautiful scenery. Quaint town with friendly people.
Picture perfect cabin. You will be staying in the basement but it is very spacious. Comfortable beds. Amazing owners. They respond super fast and are there if you need anything. Driggs is a great town to access Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons. The Grand Tetons sit just over the mountains in from of the cabin. Great sunsets. I’m sure the sunrises were good as well we just missed those. Be sure to go to Butter Cafe and Big Hole BBQ in Victor, Idaho. You won’t be disappointed. If you are looking for a farm setting with great mountain views without being in the hustle and bustle of a tourist town, this is your place.
When reviewing the information online it seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. The beautiful picture portrayed on the website was a bit misleading as it did not fully capture the 'location in which we would stay'. The location within the house was in the basement, and although they had taken time to make it comfortable, it did not have a kitchen, it did not have 2 bathrooms (the second was on the main level in the owner space, there was only one entrance which was through the owners house above (no entry/exit on the lower level), and although it described a patio, again you would have to enter through their 'house' with no way to enter through the outside. If you are looking for something like this, I would recommend it, but if you have a family and need a kitchen or other accommodations, you might consider elsewhere.
Did not stay left after viewing property. Felt very mislead and apparently others have felt this way before. Lost our money, no refunds. Be aware that This IS NOT a private space, you do not have a private entrance or patio. You are in the basement of the host with no outside views of the mountains. You cant even see outside the windowsNo kitchen, no way to come and go except through the couples living quarters. The patio, and washer and dryer are shared with the host. One private bathroom, the other is shared on the primary floor.
A wonderful place to relax after the Grand Tetons and bustling Jackson. Stan and Jean were congenial and helpful. Izzy the dog was a delight and Kiki the guard cat was affectionate and talkative! GREAT STAY.
great
My grown son and did a Yellowstone / Teton trip and stayed at this location for two nights while we explored the Tetons. It worked put perfectly. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bedrooms are spacious. The only thing that may not work is if you plan to make meals. We ate out, so all was good. Thank you for your hospitality Jean.
A great little spot for a quick get away! Jean and Stan are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and kind. The views are beyond amazing. A perfect spot for an early morning sunrise walk.
Jean and Stan are delightful hosts. Only out done by greeter pup, Izzy, and cat Kiki. Jean was available each day to make sure we had what we needed. They made accommodations for us to sit outside to enjoy the star filled sky. Our only complaint is the shower stall. Needs to be cleaner looking and bathroom maybe updated.
Great hosts. Everything plus more was available for us. I would stay again!
Wonderful host, couldn't have been nicer. Loved their sweet cat and puppy, too. Gorgeous sunset and star gazing. Jean and her husband are marvelous people w fun life stories if you have time to hear them.
Owner was nice
Everything was lovely. Would definitely stay again!!!
This place was very nice. Had all we needed. Only downside were the stairs to basement but that was on us. We misread the description. We’re older and stairs can be a bit problematic if you have knee or hip issues. Otherwise a great stay.
This was a perfect spot for my friend and I to stay while touring the Grand Tetons. We only slept and showered but the hostess was very nice and friendly and on site if you need anything.
We had a nice stay in a beautiful location. The property was clean and well maintained. We would stay here again!
The owners were very hospitable and even checked on us when they thought we got caught in a thunderstorm while hiking. I can’t rave enough about the awesome water pressure in the shower and the beds were extremely comfortable.
Jean and Stan seem to be wonderful people. They were very pleasant and accommodating and I really appreciated that they allowed our three small dogs to stay. My rating of three is largely because of the flooring. Every step on the main floor is amplified in the basement and we were awakened each morning between 5:00 and 6:00 am by footsteps. They did have extra and unexpected company that obviously did know know of the issue. That extra company also overtook the second and larger bathroom (located on the main floor) that is advertised as part of the rental. Luckily, our other two friends could not come so it was not a problem for two of us to share the one small bathroom located in the basement. Finally, please note that the rental is a basement that is only accessed by entering through the mud room, into the hall, past the second bathroom and into the basement door located off of the kitchen. When I booked the VRBO, I missed the word basement and incorrectly assumed (from the exterior pictures) that it was a walkout basement. My bad! The stairs were quite steep and did not have a rail on the open side. This could be a problem for younger children or people that have trouble with stairs. The devil is in the details and I failed to pay attention to the details and/or ask the right questions. The basement is large and the beds are comfortable. I love all the wood. A stand up lamp in the tv area would be a welcome addition. So, this review is to inform perspective renters about the basement so they don’t repeat my mistake. The owners are lovely people and I really hate to give them only a three rating.
Nice home, thought location was closer to Jackson Hole. Jean was very nice. Thought there should be a sink besides bathroom to clean dishes. No stove or hot plate to cook with. Fire Stick did not work well at all.
We had a very positive stay at Jean’s property! The instructions for how to get there were very clear. We enjoyed our accommodations, and the location is gorgeous! We definitely recommend staying here.
Beautiful .Very spacious area set aside for guest in this home . Views are breathtaking. Homeowners are very helpful with tourist sites and activities in the area.
