Great family home well suited for children.
Great communication. Good for family stay.
The cabin had everything we needed but not much more. The kitchen was very basic and the stove has only two burners. Sadly the dining room table seats only four, so one of us had to sit at the kitchen counter. When we arrived we had to put the linens on our beds and go through closets to find the towels. During our stay there were issues with the water heater. The owner responded quickly to fix the problem and since it couldn't be resolved during our stay, gave us a refund for one night. Our girls loved the game room and the board games and overall we had a pleasant stay.
We were impressed by this rental and had a great stay. The property owner was extremely responsive to inquires, the house was well set up, and as a bonus there were plenty of children's books and toys to entertain our little ones.
We truly enjoyed our stay. Two families stayed (4 adults, 3 children) and all enjoyed this spacious place, game room, and BIG snow. Yes, we had a snowstorm. The cabin is family/children friendly and clean. The garage is well maintained. Game room has table tennis table and basket ball goals for fun. Paulo is very approachable through VRBO system and responsive. He wants to hear if there is anything that could be better. Such a pleasant owner who wants to make our stay best. We stayed only one night... I wish I could stay longer. We did not even have time to enjoy hot tub. I strongly recommend multiple night stay here especially for skiers... Thank you very much for the wonderful weekend.
This is a spacious, simple property with room for several children, and the amenities to match! The photos for this home are a little dark and don't really do it justice - we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival! The wooded neighborhood is quiet and lovely, the hot tub is comfortable, well-sited and works great, and our kids enjoyed the game room IMMENSELY! This are is very convenient to exploring up mountain on 4 (to Bear Valley for skiing, or, in summer to any of the classic Sierra destinations up Route 4 like Lake Alpine and Ebbets Pass), and, int he other direction, little downtown Arnold and the Calaveras Big tree Sequoia State Park are less than 10 minutes away. The walkable and adorable downtown of the old gold rush town of Murphys is flourishing and is just a bit further down the road as well. Choices choices! When we were there, we were lucky enough to be treated to a snowstorm - which, viewed in the hot tub, was pure magic. If you do stay, and are running the heat, I strongly recommend turning off the upstairs thermostats (set them all the way down) if those rooms begin to feel too hot - we didn't realize we needed to do this, and set the dials at 60 or so only to wake up boiling and have to open the windows, even though it was in the 30s outside. The next night, after turning them off, and leaving the windows slightly cracked, we had a perfect sleeping temperature.
Great, clean, child friendly cabin. Fully stocked, especially with games and kitchen items. The snowplow came appropriately to clear the driveway. The hot tub, although small, was clean and perfect. Paulo was a pleasure to communicate with. Will stay again for sure. My only concern is that the board games were so beautifully organized, I hope future guests will keep all the pieces together ;)
