Excellent communication from owner. This property is one of 4 cabins facing the Mooselookmeguntic Lake. It was mostly a quiet two days for us as no one else was there However, cabins are close to together and you can hear talking outside of the cabin. Our two bedroom, one pull out sleeping situation was fine for us. The bedrooms are actually one room split by a wall that does not go all the way up to the ceiling. All conversations can be heard between the rooms. This did not bother us. Just letting others know. It was easy to get in to the property once there. Directions will not bring you right to the property. Keep going down the road. 121 will be on the right hand side. Once there keep going down the small hill. The view of the lake encircled by the mountains was fantastic! We did not see any kayaks. However, there were canoes under the MAIN cabins front porch. We did not use them but they were there. Loved the fire pit and wood. :) There is a little building behind the cabin with a very clean shower and another restroom, if needed. Fully stocked kitchen, fridge, cute stove with an oven. I could see hanging here for a week and taking in some hikes or just floating in the lake. We did go to the Cascade gorge. Small hike to a beautiful waterfall. Also, walked a short stroll to the snowmobile path to a bridge at the Rangeley Conservancy. Highly recommend Parkside Restaurant in Rangelely. Taco special was excellent, as was the chicken tenders. :)
Adorable cabin. Difficult to get to but that’s the area !! Hosts very helpful
Great place away from the hustle and bussle of everyday life. Rustic but well appointed little cottage. Only downfall was the long drive out a muddy road. It rained on and off during our stay, and our jeep looked like we did some serious 4 wheeling!!!
Property was as described. Beautiful views of lake and surrounding mountains, sunsets. Not far from town yet far enough, lovely.
The cabin did not have a shower in it. We discovered the shower was in a separate building outside the next day. The info contact numbers and wifi info was on a small sheer of paper that was left on the seat of a chair and not discovered until the end of the stay. So better signage would be helpful with details like that. However we did get snow.drifted in and the owners took care of it right away.
The camp was a cute, classic summer camp, but winterized. We had nearly everything we needed in the kitchen which was small but efficient. The night we arrived turned cold and a strong wind off there lake. The place stayed warm but a bit more insulation in places would make it less drafty. The location on the shore was beautiful. It's quiet and great for those that want to settle in for a weekend, and walk the roads, maybe ski the lake or a trail nearby.
