Beautiful, quaint cabin. Kitchen is fully equipped. The mattress in the master needs to be replaced, it is very uncomfortable. There was plenty of firewood but nothing to light it with. We would definitely stay here again. The sound of the creek was so peaceful and we loved not having internet and being able to play all the games provided and fish off the deck with the provided pole. Thank you
Great porch next to the creek!!! Very secluded.
This beautiful, cozy cabin was perfect for our stay. Lovely location in front of a stream (you can see rainbow trout swimming), The only sounds are those of the stream's running water over the rocks below the cabin's balcony. If you are looking for peace and quiet then this will fit the bill, but you may need a 4WD vehicle to get to it! Note: there is no wi-fi, cell service, washer/drier or dishwasher. If you need those, look elsewhere. For us it was perfect.
Loved the location and privacy of this home.
This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed and it gets better each time. It’s such a relaxing, serene location. The improvements to the fire pit area also are beautiful!!!
Right on the river. Grill. Fire pit. Porch. Awesome!
My daughters, and I had a great time, and we brought our golden doodle who also loved it!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Our stay here definitely exceeded expectations. We wanted a weekend to disconnect and decompress, and this cozy cabin did just the trick! Well equipped with all the essentials and then some. Nicely decorated and super clean overall. The flowing creek was very relaxing to sit next to on the porch swing or light a fire out at the fire pit. We were hesitant to see how comfortable the bed actually was after seeing a few previous reviews criticizing the comfort, but it seemed like a decent mattress pad had at least been added, so the bed was certainly comfortable for us. The dirt/gravel road getting to the cabin was navigable, but we were certainly thankful we had an awd suv. A lower front wheel drive car might have a bit more of a challenge with parts of the road, but might still make it. The description also said there’s room for two small cars to park, but turning around with another car there would definitely be a challenge. It took a little bit to figure out how to best turn our full size suv around the first time, but it was fine after that. The only real critique was that the septic/plumbing lines would very quickly get overloaded to where the toilet would no longer flush. After sitting overnight or all day while out, we could get two full flushes in, but that would be about it. The sinks and shower would always drain fine, but running either of those would quickly take away potential good flushes. Hopefully that can get fixed, because we’d love to stay again!
It was a beautiful quiet cabin right on the water
The cabin was very clean and well maintained, perfect location overlooking the river. Made for an awesome weekend trip for my partner and I. We will be revisiting!
Lovely view overlooking the river. The cabin itself is stunning inside and out with a kitchen that has everything you need
We loved the quaint cabin, the loft was wonderful for our kids to have their own beds. The creek was so peaceful. The kitchen was well-equipped. The fireplace was perfect (just remember to bring a lighter/matches because one is not provided). The bed in the master bedroom needs to be updated, it was very worn and springy and pretty uncomfortable. Other than that we could not recommend this place more!
This was a perfect little spot to go and unwind for a few days. We built fires in the fire pit and sat and listened to the creek and it was incredibly relaxing.
This little cabin in the woods is the perfect escape from the stressors of our hurry-up world. Secluded, beautiful nature surrounds this space!
We absolutely loved the cabin! It was so nice to wake up to the view of the river from the bedroom - not to mention the peaceful sound. It was absolutely gorgeous with the changing of the leaves! The directions were spot on (although - don't trust your navigation!). The gravel roads were fine with my Honda civic, you just have to take it slow! Check in and check out was a breeze! I was worried about not having phone or internet service, but I actually found it to be very relaxing. Everyone needs a break from technology once in a while!
When you eventually find it, you will find the location is hard to beat. The French doors open up to a porch that peeks over the creek that makes for a peaceful morning. The wood burning stove was a nice touch for an immersive log cabin experience.
We absolutely loved this little cabin on the creek! We had a blast the whole stay. From fishing on the deck, hiking around the creek beds, to the bbq fest we attended in town. We also enjoyed our trip into Mccaysville to the neat restaurants on the river. & you definitely can’t beat waking up to that beautiful view of the creek right from the bedroom doors. We will definitely return & recommend this place for all who love relaxing & a little adventure. Thanks for having us!
Beautiful and clean
Nice time with piece and seclusion on the water. No wifi (easy to have installed) and landline doesn’t work. Fun fishing from deck and tubing in river. Nice to have grill although burners need replacing. Snakes bedding on rocks below deck. Need to remedy…water moccasin/copperheads (poisonous). Outside trash bin was full from previous guests. Had to leave trash inside so critters wouldn’t get into. Clean an comfortable. Enjoyed our few days.
You can get any closer to the river!
Look this is a cabin in the woods...near a creek. You are going to have bugs, spiders and maybe a snake or two. There is no internet here and cell phone service is spotty plus the road in there could get a little questionable; depending on your vehicle. If you cannot handle this, go stay at a Marriott. Otherwise, enjoy the scenery, the water, the quiet. This place makes you disconnect from today's society. Yes, we caught fish....some quite large so there is fish to be caught. It is a question of how hard do you want to fish to get them!
