Amazing Grace - Mountain Retreat

Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

Amazing Grace, how sweet the view!  A majestic wrap-around mountain environment and escape from city life.  Savor the incredible year-round mountain views from your hammock, hot tub, porch swing, gated deck, or even from each bedroom. The private hot tub is tucked into your deck, perfect for an after-dinner soak as you watch the sunset brush the mountain top with color and gaze at the stars illuminating the forest.

Less than 50 yards from the front door is the Benton MacKaye trail.  You can take a short hike down to the pond and old chapel, or venture to a nearby stream or lake, and enjoy public access areas at the three private community lakes, which are great for fishing, swimming, and/or canoeing.

After building up your appetite, it's time to eat! Have fun cooking your meal in the kitchen or on the gas grill on the deck. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need (all the essentials, plus a Keurig, blender, coffee maker, kettle, marshmallow roasting forks, and so much more).

The house is spacious with many thoughtful touches such as a gas fireplace (in season) with a TV mounted on the mantel in the comfortable living room and also a TV in each of the three sleeping areas and string lighting for a playful, happy atmosphere around the outside of our mountain retreat.

Come and relax at Amazing Grace cabin!

From the moment we walked into the cabin, it felt incredibly cozy with such good energy. It was the kind of place that immediately made you want to settle in and relax. We loved sitting out on the screened in patio with our coffee in the mornings and watching the sun rise. That said, the hot tub was by far my favorite part of the stay. I enjoyed it more than I would care to admit. It was absolutely fabulous, especially with the electric fireplace nearby, which made the whole space feel even more special. The bedroom off the living room was comfortable and inviting, and the attached bathroom was beautiful. The shower in particular was stunning and felt like such a treat. We also loved how easy the indoor fireplace was to use. With just one click of a button, it added so much warmth and ambiance to the space. The recliners in the living room were incredibly comfortable and perfect for unwinding after a day of hiking. The location was wonderful, close to hiking and an easy drive into downtown Blue Ridge. Overall, this cabin was a truly relaxing and special place to stay, and we would absolutely love to return! Thank you!

The cabin was cozy and clean. The kitchen had all the tools necessary to make a meal. We played game boards in a rainy morning. Jacuzzi was cleaned. Beds and couches were comfortable. We left a note to the cleaning crew that the balcony could be dusted because there were a lot spider webs. Of course this is not something to not go back to Amazing Grace.

This cabin was beautiful and welcoming the moment we stepped inside! The owners offered so many extras for us and our pug, from hand soap at every sink to extra blankets, a dog kennel and bowls for our little bear ;) The hot tub was clean and perfect after a day of hiking and the screened-in porch was perfect for enjoying the gorgeous mountain view in the rain. The fire pit was perfectly stocked for an evening of marshmallow roasting with our kids. We saw deer several times! There were a lot of cobwebs at the entrance to the cabin and on the porch. We spent time cleaning them off with a broom in order to enjoy that outdoor dining space and porch swing. Judging by the trees around the area as we were driving around, the spiders on the mountain are big cobweb makers so I’m not sure how much Vacasa could do given how quickly they form. It was not a big deal but something to be aware of. Roads into the cabin are steep but paved. Not bad but having an AWD was nice. We had one minor issue with getting locked out of our cabin, but we texted Vacasa and they quickly sent us a new code and got right in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was BEARY nice!! Would absolutely stay here again.

Overall: The property was very clean & well organized! Check in & out was smooth. Door lock & A/C were easy to use. TVs were not but we weren’t there for TV. There’s a great kid’s room with lots of games that we didn’t need but were impressed with. The screened porch is where we spent every evening rocking or swinging & watching the sun go down! The fire pit was also a nice area to relax in the evening. Details: Pictures look brighter & slightly larger, both inside & outside than reality, but by no means totally misleading, just slightly more open & sunny. Parking says for 3 vehicles but it would be packed with 3 & unless you do a lot of car shuffling, the person on the end would be doing all the driving. We were too busy & unplugged to use any appliances other than the microwave. We weren’t there for fireplace months, & didn’t use the hot tub so no review on those. Nearby: Cabin is close to Ellijay (historic town square area, apple orchards to visit) & Amicolola Park & waterfall. We also visited nearby historic downtown Blueridge & of course couldn’t pass up the super close & interesting Sasquatch Museum. We also did the Blueridge Railroad’s 4 hour day excursion to McCaysville/Copperhill. Getting in & out: Approach from the south is far superior to the way GPS sent one of us from the north. Roads up the mountain from TN were bordering on hazardous. The 2 roads that went from HWY 515 (coming from the south, or Atlanta) to the cabin were perfectly fine & easy to travel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Amazing Grace. The property was in a beautiful location with fantastic views! The cabin was well-appointed, clean and exactly as described. The road access was well-paved and offered a beautiful entry into the neighborhood. The screened-in porch was fantastic and where spent every morning listening to the sound of the birds and nature. The cabin felt secluded but was an easy 15 minute drive into Blue Rodge. We would definitely stay here again!P.S. The property managers were very responsive and accommodating.

Views are great. House was clean and cosy. The two queen beds need upgrades. The main floor bed has a deep center indent and the upstairs bed was hard and noisy

This was a much needed, mid-week break to get away to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Amazing Grace was very clean, and had the perfect amount of amenities. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and hot tub. The views from the porch and from inside the house were great! Access to the Benton Mackaye Trail is a few steps away from the property and leads to multiple streams and ponds. We will definitely book again!

Amazing Grace at Cherry Log was AMAZING! Spacious and clean, well stocked with things I forgot, and super comfortable! The storms didn't faze us since the game room had great entertainment and screened in space to play until it passed. The spa was divine as well LOL! Thank you for the opportunity and we shall return!!
