Ray and Nanette Borges welcome you to our little piece of paradise, nestled in a cove, overlooking four mountain ranges. Our cabin is located in the heart of the Western North Carolina mountains, just a few minutes drive from the Smoky Mountain National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Maggie Valley.
At an elevation of 3600 feet, you’ll enjoy the cool mountain breezes from your own front porch swing or rocker. The peace and quiet will overwhelm you year after year. Yet, the convenience to all of the area’s beauty and attractions are at your leisure.
The cabin is tastefully decorated, with full kitchen and amenities. A gas log fireplace and air conditioner ensure your total comfort. The cabin includes refrigerator, stove/oven, satellite and TV, DVD player, free wireless Internet, microwave, washer and dryer, linens, BBQ grill, picnic table, and campfire pit. Pets are welcome, but a pet fee is required.
This cozy cabin was easy to find on GPS, on a paved road that doesn’t require 4WD. There’s single gravel slopped parking approaching the entry, and another flat grassy area in front of the cabin. The grassy area is adjacent to the next cabin’s parking, so space might be tight if you have multiple vehicles. There are 4 cabins located adjacent to the owner’s property, but despite the close proximity, it was quiet and peaceful with no issues. The kitchen had basic essentials including refrigerator, stove, microwave, cookware, dinnerware, & utensils. Dishsoap, sponge & kitchen garbage bags were included. You’ll need to bring your own napkins, paper towels, & spices/condiments. The kitchen bar & living room area included a lot of furniture all squeezed into a small area (bar stools, couch, rocking chairs, table, chairs). We were a small family of 3 + 1 dog, so we were okay with the space. The downstairs master bedroom included 2 dressers, & closet including coat hangers with ample room to either hang or put clothes in drawers. The master bath had a tub/shower combo. The upstairs loft included the washer and dryer, the bedroom area with 2 beds, and a bathroom with tub/shower combo. The washing machine was a bit loud, but worked fine. Both bathrooms included hand soap and toilet paper. There’s a gas fireplace, but the central heat was sufficient so we never used it. Overall cleanliness was fine, but the floors/rugs could use a deep clean. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!
The Cabin is ok, but have too much furniture, for the small space. Overall is ok.
Beautiful, cozy home! My family and I enjoyed a weekend getaway. The hosts reply quickly and help solve any issues. Their home is beautiful and cozy. The gas fireplace added to the coziness. We enjoyed the views from the porch swing. We also got to see the goats! Would stay here again.
This was a short getaway weekend with my pup to enjoy the fall colors, get some hiking in, and remember my husband. Perfectly tucked away cabin with a great view!
Nice cabin very well done
Birthday gift to myself, beautiful property and accommodations.
Nice property, clean, beautiful. But you are surrounded by 3 other cabins so you don’t get that feeling of seclusion if your looking for that. Neighbor is right out your door. But if that doesn’t bother you, it’s an overall great place and location. Close proximity to many things.
We recently stayed over Memorial Day Weekend with family. It was nothing short of perfect. The cabin and view are perfect. It’s like your own little piece of heaven sitting on the porch. The owner Ray was wonderful and so helpful. I hope to return in the future. Donna
