Our newly constructed Deer cabin is one of 5 cabins at OTR, all situated in a large, private cul-de-sac with our namesake Allis Chalmers tractor to welcome you to the Retreat. This cabin features bright, beautiful spaces and functional amenities. Deer is situated to give you the loveliest view of the 40 acres old growth forest and the Wisconsin River. Relax with a cup of coffee or tea when you open the sliding glass doors and walk out to your private patio.

Stayed Oct 18, 2025We had a fantastic, relaxing stay! The cabin was adorable, very clean, modern, and they pack a lot into the small space so we had everything we could possibly need for our family of 4 and even extras for our dog. Communication was top notch, with a detailed booklet of local recommendations, very fast response time, and genuine friendliness and interest in making our trip great. The fire pit was perfect. The surrounding woods were quiet and serene with walking trails. Make sure you pack tick repellent if you plan to go further into the woods (the cabin and surrounding areas seemed to be fine and treated!). The location was far enough out to feel private and quiet, but close enough to easily pop over to shops or dining. We enjoyed everything about our trip!

Stayed Jun 19, 2025This is the perfect place for people who want to take their dogs with them on vacation. They have a beautiful walking trail with a deck that overlooks the river valley. The house is set back nicely in the woods so it's nice and peaceful away from all the hustle and bustle of wis Dells. Anytime we needed anything the owners were very fast to respond and accommodate. I would highly recommend staying here.
