Stayed Aug 1, 2025We stayed here for a family reunion weekend. Our extended family was spread across 3 homes in the area. 3 generations shared this particular home. It was fine, well equipped, if a bit worn, and lots of areas to hang out and a beautiful deck. The king size bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was okay. WARNING: the twin beds in one bedroom are actually none-too-sturdy bunk beds. This was a problem for the adults planning to share that room, but luckily one person was happy to sleep on the futon in the downstairs game room. Someone not staying at this home put garbage in the bear box and did not secure it properly. I contacted the manager immediately, disclaiming responsibility for the spread trash, which we mostly picked up, but received no response. There are stair tread rugs from the entrance to the main floor that are unsecured and a major tripping hazard. We had to put them aside so my 87 yo MIL did not trip on them. All-in-all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Stayed Jun 21, 2024This house fit 10 nicely. The kitchen is well equipped. Nice sized bedrooms. Plenty of space for us to spread out. There is a nice variety of games, puzzles and books. Nice outside deck. The host was responsive to our questions/concerns. A bear had gotten into the trash before our arrival. The host encouraged us to clean it up ourselves so as to help avoid further bear activity in the area. We spent time right after we checked in picking up a lot of disgusting garbage that was strewn across the ground. Unfortunately there were several other issues during our stay as well. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. One of the beds didn’t have clean sheets on it. There were no dish towels. We had to clean off the deck furniture before using it, as well as the grill which was covered in grease. The propane tank for the fire pit was empty. The pool table is not level and the other games in the basement are low quality, which was disappointing as they are a big part of the reason why we chose this rental. There was a lot of mold on the inside of one of the shower curtains. The VRBO listing mentions a complimentary bottle of wine which we didn’t receive. The host apologized for the state of the house. It sounds like the cleaning crew failed to do a satisfactory job. Our overall experience here was disappointing although it did sound like the host was going to make efforts to improve stays for future guests. We were given a 6% refund for our trouble.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Took the family to Arnold for Spring Break. Three families had a great time here, plenty of room. The kids loved all the games downstairs.
