Everything about our stay was great! The location was perfect and the cabin was super clean. Communication was excellent and the price was awesome. This was a great place to gather with friends and also to have quiet time. The creek was beautiful and restful.
This is a lovely house. It was well stocked with all our needs. We had three generations staying here and the space was perfect for all. The arcade was perfect for all the kids and the creek was wonderful to play around in during the heat wave. Perfect location to just about anywhere in the area. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
We enjoyed having our children and their spouses at the “Walnut Mountain” cabin in Ellijay this past weekend. It was great to be so close to town yet still so peaceful. Having access to the river was very enjoyable. Having extra necessities there like hand soaps, paper towels, toilet paper and kitchen utensils was very nice. The game room and games were a nice bonus, we enjoyed that. We had plenty of room to gather together or have time apart. Jason was quick to handle any question or problem we had! We truly enjoyed our time!!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the house! Convenient location from ATL, not far off the main state route 515. It is pretty close to the front neighborhood entrance so not super private. There are nice walking trails across the street and the river/creek by the house is lovely. The layout of the house is a bit strange and worth noting for planning purposes. There is a primary bed/bath en-suite on the main level and two bedrooms that share a Jack and Jill bath. But downstairs there are two bedrooms, only one of which has access to the sole bathroom downstairs. So the fifth bedroom guests would have to go through someone else’s bedroom to use any of the bathrooms. We had to ask for a few additional kitchen towels and laundry/dish soap which were dropped off the next day. The fireplace upstairs is large and beautiful. But note that there is no gas starter despite looking like there’s a spot for a key. So would recommend bringing really dry/ready to burn firewood, kindling and plenty of starter materials if you want to have a fire. We bought firewood nearby and found it impossible to start.
My family and I stayed at this rental for 5 days during our Christmas holiday. We had a fabulous time. This rental was fully stocked with daily essentials, was clean, and smelled like freshly washed linen. There were 8 adults, a large dog, and three kids under the age of five. This property had more than enough space for everyone. There were lots of TVs, board games, and we enjoyed the amazing views! We would certainly stay again!
The property was well kept and clean. The only problem we had was when we got there at 3:55 and because it was the day after Christmas, the welcome center was closed. We called the number on the reservation to have someone let us in and it rang busy for 10 minutes. Finally someone who lived in the community came along and let us in the gate. That was the only problem we had, the property manager was very helpful and also answered in a timely manner.
We stayed here for Fall Break 2022, and it was a quick 1.5hr drive for us, which was perfect. The house sits on a great location, it's right on the creek, which the kids loved to explore daily. We had a crew ranging from 14 - 8 and every one of them loved it. House was stocked with kitchen tools & gadgets, towels & shampoo/body wash/conditioner in all baths, extra trash bags /paper towels/etc, and games in the game room! Lots of books if you're a reader and TV's all with the ability to set up streaming. I was able to work from when I needed to and wi-fi was easy to set up. There is plenty of room for all and we loved opening up the doors to hear the breeze and creek going all day! It's a quick 10-15 minutes to Ellijay, 20 minutes to Blue Ridge, and tons of other daily trips. We had a few questions about the house and Jason was so prompt to reply! Lots of info and communication given before our trip as well. It'll be a place we will return to in the future!
