Thistle Dew Cabin is a custom built log and timber frame home situated in the middle of 80 acres and boasts 360 degree mountain views. From the cabin porch enjoy your coffee while gazing at the backside of Grand Teton National Park's Grand Teton, Middle Teton and South Teton mountains. The cabin has 2 private bedrooms with queen beds (one with it's own small bathroom ). There are two lofts overlooking the living room; one with comfortable queen pullout (new gel mattress) and one with double bed (laddar access) suitable for teenagers and young adults. There is also an office space with a log desk.
There is a beautiful gas stove for that cozy feeling on a cold day, in floor heat, huge windows to let in the afterglow from the mountains and a tower for morning coffee, evening wine or that romantic dinner. The dining room and sun room are made from custom hand carved timber frame old Vermont maple beams for a warmth that only comes from wood. The fully outfitted kitchen has everything you need; microwave, coffee maker, pots, wine glasses, dishwasher and granite counters with induction stovetop. The front porch off of the living room is a favorite with rocking chairs and wide open views of the Tetons and Grand Targhee.
Outside there is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and telling stories and a hot tub to soak in and look at the amazing stars. The property also has a bunkhouse for the kids to play and hang out. There is also a real wood fired Swedish sauna to enjoy.
There is a guest house separate on the property. The guest house is a separate building with its own yard, hot tub and fire pit. The guest house and the cabin are separated by trees so neither place notices the other. The cabin hot tub, and fire pit are for use by cabin guests exclusively. The sauna and kid bunk house are shared.
Only 50 miles from Jackson Hole, 1,25 hour from Grand Teton National Park and only 5 minutes from Wyoming wilderness, Thistle Dew Cabin is a perfect place to relax after a day of hiking, rafting, skiing or fishing. Three of the West's most famous rivers: Henry's Fork of the Snake, South Fork of the Snake and the Teton River are all within an hour's drive from the cabin. Grand Targhee Ski Area is 30 minutes away. Grand Targhee is famous for the best powder in the West and in summer a great mountain bike destination. Nearly every summer weekend at the Ghee there is a music festival.
Come visit the quiet side of the Tetons famous for gorgeous, uncrowded hiking and mountain biking, wildlife watching, clear, cold rivers and the best powder days the West has to offer.
The town of Driggs is 5 miles down a good paved road. Driggs is the outdoor adventure capital of the area. It boasts great stores, wonderful restaurants and a modern, full service grocery store. Farmer's Markets (Friday mornings) , a balloon festival, scenic running and bike trails, Friday night rodeo action and Music on Main all make the town of Driggs a fun place to visit.

The host was delightful and very responsive. The cabin is gorgeous. No doors really and sound carries through the house but we all a went to bed at the same time each night so it wasn't a problem for us. Is definitely stay here again

Amazing, charming, rustic, comfy, quirky, stunning, relaxing. Just a few words to describe the Thistledew. We absolutely loved our stay here. Firstly, the views are absolutely stunning. Visit here if you're looking for a place to relax and take in the surrounding beauty of the mountains. The amenities including the wood-fired sauna and hot tub were such a treat after a day of skiing. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need for cooking meals as a group. The lookout turret is super neat and also a fun place to do some remote work or enjoy a coffee. Leslie was a great host and provided lots of good information about the surrounding area. Cabin is well-maintained and well-loved. Showers were hot and had good pressure. Beds comfy! What more could you want?

Very charming, whimsical home!! Leslie was very responsive and wonderful! Some of the photos were were deceiving in that I didn’t realize the upper loft looked over the master bedroom. Overall, an absolutely amazing rental!! Thank you for all the extra amenities too like the cooler and bear spray!

My family of 5 stayed in Thistle Dew for 10 days. It was great. The listing was very accurate. We plan to visit again. It’s far enough from town to be quiet but close enough to attractions. The cabin is unique and fun. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable. 10/10

Our family of 6 stayed at ThistleDew for an entire month in September 2024. Basically, we loved it so much we cried when we left lol. First of all, Leslie and Don are simply amazing hosts. They were attentive, responsive, super friendly, and went out of their way to make it feel like home for us. They gave us recommendations from everything to car care, restaurants, the best fishing locations and pointed us to some of our favorite hikes. They’re the kind of people you HOPE are running the vacation rental you stay in! ThistleDew itself was everything we were hoping for. The views from the cabin were spectacular. There are huge windows everywhere -- so it's easy to enjoy the views from inside. The cabin was cozy, comfortable, clean, and stocked with everything we needed to live there for a month. It feels secluded and private (even with the guest house next door) while being only a few minutes from town. We miss the huge, starry night skies, mornings and evenings by the fireplace, smores at sunset, watching sunrises over the Tetons from the hot tub, sleeping with the windows open and hearing the aspens in the wind, and just all the beauty in and around the cabin. It's such a special place with so much charm! The little towns of Driggs and Victor are awesome and have everything you need. If you are looking for a weekend spot or a longer-term base from which to explore the Tetons or Yellowstone from…this is it. We can’t want to come back.

This was a great stay for us, we had 6 adults in the house for our stay and amount of space to hang out indoor and outdoor. Personally didn’t realize from the listing that the two different loft bedroom spaces didn’t connect, but that may well have been a failing on my part. The house was really well stocked with cookware, some basic foods, blankets and games - we were definitely pleased! Owners are also very responsive if any issues arise which was super helpful (thanks!)

We had 3 adult couples and one 5 year old stay at the property for 1 week. Absolutely remarkable beautiful custom made cabin. Comfortable beds, great shower, open kitchen with all the accessories you need to make delicious meals. The views are breathtaking! Enjoyed coffee in the morning watching the sun rise over the mountains, relaxed in the hammock with a book, unwinding at the end of the day of hiking and kayaking the Snake River in the hot tub, enjoying the beautiful sunsets and star gazing around the fire pit at night. This place has it all and the hosts are absolutely fantastic and.have great communications with us before and during our stay. I am so happy that we booked this cabin for our vacation. I highly recommend this place!

This property far exceeded our expectations. Everything about this place was just beautiful. The home was very clean. Everything was clean, bedding, bathrooms, and the kitchen. The drive to Jackson Hole took us about a hour each way. Thankfully the pass had been repaired. We enjoyed both Driggs and Victor too. We had pizza at Pinky G's, (the Abe Froman pizza). The only issue we had was figuring out the induction range top. It took us a bit, but we finally figured it out. All of the other appliances worked properly. It was well needed break from our busy lives in the Chicagoland area. Our activities included a GTNP Eco tour (Mark the tour guide was great), the Snow King Observatory (we met the owners at the airport in Chicago! They were very nice people). The Observatory staff/guide was excellent, he was so knowledgeable. The observatory visit makes for a late night, bring a jacket too. We loved browsing through all of the art galleries in Jackson Hole. They were like going on a museum walking tour. We had a few surprise visits from neighboring dogs too, Poppy and Amita. This was such a lovely rental, everything about it, the mountain view, the Aspen trees, the furnishings, everything. We would not hesitate to book another stay in the future. The property had a beautiful view of the Tetons. It was a quiet and peaceful property with several amenities like a hot tub and sauna to enjoy. Our teenager loved the bunkhouse! Tetonia and Driggs are near with shops and restaurants; and Jackson Hole and The Grand Tetons aren’t far.

This cabin was so nice! The location was peaceful and relaxing, away from the crowded tourist areas of the two National Parks but close enough we could drive there each day. The cabin was comfortable, nicely furnished and had everything we could want. Beautiful views of the Tetons!
