Florence, Oregon
The Curved Sea Cabin.
A short walk to the beach, this beautiful A-frame cabin has curved walls made of solid knotty-pine wood. Cathedral ceilings accompanied by the sound of the ocean give a wonderful feel to the two bedrooms upstairs, which are supplied with down pillows and comforters.
The centerpiece of the cabin is a large, beautiful, stone fireplace. The warmth of an evening fire combined with the gently curving walls of this cabin help to bring family and friends together in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
Important, Accessibility: The stairs leading upstairs to the two bedrooms are quite steep and not recommended for older or infirm people, or anyone with limited mobility issues. The downstairs foldout sofa (quite comfortable) can be used in those cases, however since it is in the living area its privacy is limited.
A large back deck and back yard offer up the sounds of the ocean. You'll share the back yard with several species of birds, including hummingbirds, who frequent the area. The cabin is two blocks from beautiful Heceta Beach which provides miles of white sand and driftwood for long or short walks.
Ten minutes north of the cabin are the Sea Lion Caves, the world's largest sea cave. Slightly further is Heceta Head, the West Coast's most photographed lighthouse. Tide pools with sea anemones and star fish abound.
We had a great time
We loved staying here - the place was a cozy and relaxing! Love how close it was to the beach!
This is a nice place to stay but a few updates would be nice. A new mattress in one of the bedrooms and TV would make this place better. Bathroom was nice and the water pressure good. Location was great---close to many attractions and the beach. Would stay again.
Amazing little house just a block away from Heceta beach in florence oregon. Me and my friends needed a get away and we found this great little house. Property was super clean and very nice. The owners are also very kind and had great communication. Thank you!
A+ charmer, a gem near the beach. Fun atmosphere with everything you need at hand. My teenage grandsons loved it and want to return for another visit.
The cabin is full of charm & very clean. We stayed 3 nights & enjoyed our time there. Getting the keys from the lock box was not as tricky as we thought. There was no TV available; the owner stopped cable some time ago, but the listing said TV was available - it was not. We also saw lots of little ants in the kitchen, and had to keep food off the counter. The location is fine & we loved the cabin; only a few little things that weren’t quite perfect, but we are on an adventure, after all. Loved the curved sea cabin!
Really like the cabin. We are in our 70's. If I had known about the stairs and bedroom/bathroom situation before booking would not have booked.
This charming upside down boat cabin was everything we hoped it would be. It was plenty of room for my 15 yr old and I to both spend time together making memories and to also have some elbow room when needed. Great jumping off place to explore the coast too. We are already trying to figure out when we can return!
Property was great. Rooms are up stairs. Stairs a dark color and thin with poor light at night. Something to think about for older persons who maybe thinking of renting this place. Very comfortable place. Great shower!! Close to beach and town. Good one to use again.
Really enjoyed the architecture of the house. Full kitchen cooked all my meals in house with locally sourced ingredients. I would recommend it ti a friend and stay here again.
