Cozy Freshwater Bay / Elwha River Cabin

Lovely place to stay, quiet, great hosts, good beds, our 2nd stay and would stay again.

Darling place. Perfect location for a couple of days on the Olympic Peninsula.

We loved the quiet and peaceful location of this property!Very clean and spacious, stocked with most anything you would need for a getaway.The beach was just steps away, and got see some wildlife as well!Wish we could extend our stay!Would highly recommend!

Great property in a beautiful area. The location is great for hiking and seeing different parts of ONP. Perfect to stop in Port Angeles for grocery and plan to cook in. Check in was very easy and the cabin was very clean. Thanks for sharing your place!

The charming and whimsical Freshwater Bay cabin suited our needs perfectly. We love the mix of antique furniture as well as the art work. The cabin provides plenty of comfortable seating and also includes access to a trail to the beach. The hosts, Jean and Ricardo, are most gracious.

I grew up coming to Place Rd and playing at this beach in the 90s. So nice to be back. Parking was tight but everyone was friendly and we did not have any issues with parking for us or our guests. The double bed (largest bed) was too small for two adults. A queen sized bed would have made the stay much more comfortable. Absolutely not a deal breaker. Jean and Ricardo are such pleasant, welcoming people. The cabin kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed with working and clean appliances. Check in was easy.

We just stayed here for the 2nd time. The first time we stayed for a week. This time we stayed 6 weeks! That should tell you how much we enjoy it!

This cottage is wonderful! Jean and Ricardo were excellent hosts. The cottage was very clean and the full size bed was very comfortable. The location is fantastic. A short walk down a path to a rugged, beautiful beach. Hand made seats wooden seats allow for lots of time soaking in the view. Close to plenty of hiking spots. Very dark and quiet at night, with the sound of surf always just outside.

This is our 2nd stay. We loved staying here both times. Great location, love the area, super close to the beach. The hosts are so nice and helpful with anything you might need. The canton is cute and comfortable with all the things you need for your stay.

I really can't say enough about the Elwha River Cabin. It is in a beautiful location, the landlords are so helpful and friendly, the sound views are fabulous. We saw sea lions every morning! The house was truly spotless. Kitchen was well equipted with all the necessary appliances. Inside of the house is just really cozy. There is a very nice sitting area at the front of the building that is great to relax after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. We loved our stay!

The Freshwater Bay cabin is furnished with an eclectic mix of antique pieces and modern furniture. Nestled among fir trees and other native plants, it is a short distance from the beach and is an ideal spot for relaxing as well as taking long walks on the beach. Just stepping onto the porch and hearing the sound of the surf can have a tremendous calming effect. That it has 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and 2 living room seating areas is an added bonus. Our adult son who was with us enjoyed having his own space. The hosts, Jean and Ricardo, are every bit as charming as their cabin. I am eager to have another reason to stay there.

The property was way better than the pictures showed. It is super cute and well maintained. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics for cooking and and had everything we needed. The beach was right across the street and accessible 24 hours a day. We would totally stay there again!

The host was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. She made us feel right at home. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 6 which includes 4 kids under 12. Enough sleeping spots for all the kids. The owner’s property across the street which is waterfront is accessible to walk through and straight to the beach which the kids loved to play and explore on. This was a fabulous spot and stay.

We loved our stay! It was a great location to see the many parts of Olympic National Park and yet have a low-key relaxing place to return to after hiking. Jean and Richardo were wonderful hosts, accommodating and attentive to anything we needed. They even let us borrow hiking poles for one of our hikes. The evening and early morning beach walks were the best. We would definitely stay again.

This cabin has all you need for your stay. It is a great location for hiking in the mountains and enjoying the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was cozy and clean. It was well stocked with the basics that make for a comfortable and easy stay. We loved having the beach a short walk away to go hang out and explore.

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice having the owners just across the street. They are very knowledgeable about the area and could give us hiking suggestions. We stayed five nights. The rental was equipped with everything we needed to cook several meals, play scrabble and do some laundry after several days of exploring Olympic National Park.

The house was just perfect, and the owners could not have been more helpful/kind! Would stay again in a heartbeat - thank you!

My family of 4 with 2 young kids spent 3 nights here while visiting Olympic National Park. The cottage is adorable and very convenient to the park. The beach is lovely with driftwood and tidepools about a mile down. We saw bald eagles and seals at the beach on multiple occasions. There is also walkable river access through a park at the end of the street. The hosts were welcoming and very generous. Would definitely stay again!

This is definitely a great place at a great location in A quiet neighborhood right by the beach. You can literally walk 100 yards and be at a beach. Jean and Ricardo are GREAT friendly hots. This was a great experience considering that it was my first time using Vrbo. Thank you! I hope to come back soon. Alex
