The area where it’s located is really cute, we where able to check in and check out easily following the instructions. They have a lot of stuff in the house so you can cook and do your own things right there. However there was cat/dog hair all over the bed sheets on the first floor like they never changed them and I couldn’t find new ones on that room. Overall we had fun and the place is good to spend time with your family.
The cabin was beautiful and off the beaten path. Every morning there were deer and lots of turkeys to watch while drinking coffee at the kitchen table. Would definitely recommend staying there.
Great location for what we wanted. Extremely quiet! Beautiful scenery!
Many updates needed: no tv on main floor, plumbing on main floor needs to be attended to as well as electrical. Bathroom fan on main floor needs attention. Would be nice to have refrigerator with water & ice maker. Stairs to lower level are hazardous. Better bug management needed. Quite a few bugs inside. Pictures of cabin are very deceiving.
While enjoying the morning air on the porch with my coffee, I was greeted by a mama dear and her babies. Then that night I was able to enjoy the night sky in a way that the city does not allow. Once the summer air turned cold we retired inside to enjoy the electric fireplace while enjoying some records and wine. This homeowner has provided all the dishes, cookware and even some spices and coffee so we did not have to worry about buying a large can for our stay. We will definitely be back!
Place was exactly as expected. Beds were a little too firm for comfort, but everything else was perfect
we had a wonderful, relaxing time.
The Little Cottage met all of our needs, the separate living areas on each floor allowed privacy and convenience. The cottage was isolated, yet close to town. It was very nice to go on the deck and watch the snow fall or go out the lower back door to see the wildlife! Everything was perfect and in good working order. We are looking forward to coming back in the future.
It was a clean property, that was very enjoyable. Neighbors are closer than I thought they'd be, but overall was still a good area. Peaceful, (mostly) quiet.
Cabin is lovely. Road access is dicey, but that's ok. INTERNET was a disaster. We got a heads-up TWO DAYS before check-in that internet was slow (an understatement). Streaming TV was advertised - not possible. Our trip was a combo pleasure/business. Business part was in the toilet. Had we known this beforehand we would have cancelled. Please don't misrepresent this property in the future.
We were instantly disappointed in this home upon arrival. We had to stay the first night of our reservation as we had no where else to go, however we left the next day. All of our communication attempts went totally unanswered - I still have not heard back from ANYONE at all. The home appeared clean at first glance, however upon closer observance it was not. The kitchen cabinets were covered in gross oily sticky residue. None of the cookware was clean. There were clumps of dust bunnies underneath furniture. There are what appears to be several pet stains all over the place. This home is “pet friendly”, that is one of the reasons we booked here, however old untreated pet stains are unacceptable and frankly disgusting. The home is in massive need of a deep cleaning, and more effort should be made for cleaning between guests. The listing says 4x4 vehicle is required in the winter, however, do not book this without a 4x4 vehicle. I can’t imagine trying to navigate the final ‘roads’ to the home without a 4x4. The pictures of the outside area are very deceiving. There is not good area outside for any activity, and nowhere to take dogs. When it rains, the VERY muddy water washes right down and pools on the stairs, creating a huge mess you have to try to walk through. The surrounding ‘neighborhood’ dogs barked all night long. The main floor bed was extremely uncomfortable. These two issues combined made for a completely sleepless night. The final straw was when my husband stepped out onto the deck and a loose screw went through the bottom of his foot – it was not visible, when he stepped on the board, which was loose, the screw shot up out of the board and into his foot. This is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. To be clear, the home is nice, and has great potential, but there are currently MANY issues. I’m not sure what you can do about the neighborhood dogs barking all night, though. But the host should at least buy better beds, and hire a better cleaning service. And have the carpets cleaned. I don’t know how anyone would give this home a good review. Their standards must be extremely low.
Shear tranquility and relaxation at this cabin...some of your neighbors are locals... talk to them!!! Some of your neighbors will be fellow travelers... TALK TO THEM TOO!!! Absolutely the best vaca we've ever had! Totally relaxed and do enjoy the wilderness and wildlife! Booking again next year!!
Quiet and clean. Cozy. Definitely would not want to come without a four wheel drive, especially since we ran into rain.
This cabin is a perfect getaway with a nice location. The location was fantastic if you just want to unplug and be a hermit or if you want to go to the towns around but want peace in your downtime. The property was very responsive to questions. Loved it. The only down is no A/C so on warm days it may get stuffy for some people, but the windows work well!
Property was clean and off the grid, but conveniently located to food and activities. Beautiful community and amazing wildlife!
