Whitefish, Montana
Enjoy a true getaway in this nicely appointed studio cabin, newly finished in 2021. It is one of several authentic Montana ranch cabins and other homes, just 8 minutes from downtown Whitefish. Your cabin is set in a cluster of several other cabins, surrounded by nature, with sweeping vistas. It’s not uncommon to see elk and deer feeding out front, eagles, hawks and owls overhead as well as majestic Clydesdale horses next door in the Clydesdale Outpost.
The cabin was completely updated in 2021 and is very clean. It is small but very comfortable and nicely finished. It has a partial kitchen (no stove) and a luxurious bath, complete with tile shower. The queen bed is comfortable and offers amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Lots of windows bathe the cabin with natural light. Outside there is a patio complete with deck chairs and a picnic table nestled in the trees. We have a friendly Lab, Lulu, who occasionally roams the property.
Note: Our cabins have 95% 5-star reviews from guests around the world. They are in authentic, rural Montana. Like most of rural Montana, they have:
1) Limited Wifi. It is available but not fast (8-10 mbps) and sometimes goes down altogether
2) Limited cell service
3) Occasional mosquitos and other insects, inside and outside
If any of these are a critical issue for you, this cabin is not your best choice. We can’t guarantee any of them won’t occur during your stay.
Many locals consider the north side to be Whitefish’s best side. Recreation abounds, just minutes away. Access to the extensive Whitefish trail system is a 5-minute drive to the Beaver Lakes trailhead. This is your gateway to fantastic hiking, trail running and mountain biking. In another few minutes you’ll find beautiful alpine lakes, including Beaver Lake, Murry Lake and Woods Lake. They’re crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming, paddle boarding and fishing. These are local gems. Speaking of mountain biking, the area’s best trails are also within a 5- minute drive. Between Beaver Lake trail and Spencer Mountain you’ll have your choice of flowy green to challenging double-black runs. The trails are well marked. You can even stop by the Whitefish Bike Retreat (also 5 minutes away) for a beer, great conversation and equipment rentals. The Still water river is less than a half mile away, offering good fly fishing.
Big Mountain (Whitefish Ski Resort) is a 25-minute drive and is a great place to recreate in the summer with an outstanding choice of activities. Glacier Park west entrance is 45 minutes.
Heading north from here you have an incredible selection of lakes, trail systems and all the recreation NW Montana has to offer, but without the crowds!

This location was a 10 min. drive into town and was perfect for a couple nights in Whitefish. The cabin had everything we needed and was so cozy. We loved having the horses right there while we ate dinner on the picnic table outside and enjoyed the sunset. We hope to be back soon!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this little cabin. It was cozy and comfortable. Although it was small, it had all you needed for your stay and was exactly as pictured. The property was beautiful and close enough to town/glacier National park. Would definitely stay here again!

The spruce cabin was the perfect place to stay! It was in a great location to go back and forth to glacier national park and whitefish town. The cabin was clean and an updated space! We enjoyed it very much!
This is a nice, clean cabin in a beautiful setting with easy access to Whitefish, Glacier and surrounding areas. I felt very safe alone. Jim is friendly and helpful. The only caveat is the is the road traffic can be heard if you sleep with window open and you are a light sleeper.
I would highly recommend this cabin rental as a clean, cozy, and quiet home base from which to explore Glacier National Park and Whitefish! Jim was very communicative and welcoming before and during the stay. The cabin was very clean inside and located within a quiet area. My friend and I were traveling to the area to visit Glacier National Park. and the cabin is an easy 40 min drive from the west entrance, as well as a 15 min drive from the quaint and charming town of Whitefish. We very much enjoyed our stay!
Awesome stay! Comfortable bed and good amenities. Quiet location. Clear directions.
Felt spacious without excess. Fresh and current bedding and bathroom fixtures also made it feel like a nice hotel without hotel nonsense. Perfect for exploring Whitefish and Glacier.
My husband and I thought this place was cute, so we booked it for a couple nights. Property was exactly what we expected from the listing. Stayed in Whitefish to explore Glacier National Park. This location was perfect and cozy. We would definitely love to come back!
Great experience and pretty location not far out from town.
We were so happy with our stay. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It made a great base from which to explore Glacier and it was nice to be out of Whitefish, but also close enough to go into town for dinner and supplies. We would definitely stay here again!
We liked this place a lot. It was exactly as described, and couldn’t have been any easier to check in and out.
This was the cutest cabin, beautiful drive
We booked this property as we had a wedding in nearby Whitefish (8 miles away) and did not want to pay $400+ for a single night in Whitefish. Our little one-bedroom cabin was the perfect place for us. It was very clean and modern, and simply charming. Everything we needed was provided including an awesome coffee maker and a gas grill. The owner was easy to reach, responded quickly and was very friendly. I would highly recommend this property!
The owner called to make sure we had all the info we needed to find the property. I inquired about nearby hiking, and when we arrived he had brought us his personal trails book and left it on the counter. Thank you. We really appreciated it.
Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. The bedding was so soft and comfortable. Cabin had everything you could need for a little getaway. Beautiful property. Would stay here again!
The owner told us that he was trying to build a vacation rental business which offered low-cost alternatives in Whitefish, MT. He achieved that goal with this lovely no-amenities cabin. It has a grill & picnic table outside; bed, microwave, and refrigerator inside; and full-bath. It's best for touring during the day and sleeping at night - there isn't room for hanging at the cabin. Additionally, the location is not quite as rustic as it seems. It is one of several cabins lined up behind the house. Its biggest appeal by far is its location - it is 10 minutes from Whitefish; 20 min from Flathead Lake and 40 minutes from West Glacier - the perfect location for people seeking outdoors adventures in Northwest Montana.
Great!
Really liked the owners. Pleasant and there for you in a matter of seconds if needed. Jim had great food and hiking recommendations. Will definitely be back!
