Stayed Dec 19, 2024We were very late getting to the property and only had time to sleep but the cabin was very clean! It was pleasantly presentable. The only complaint I would give is the water was turned off, presumably because of the low temperature, but understandable. Thankfully I had a case of bottled water that came in handy. I messaged the owner about our late arrival and got a response promptly. I would use this venue again if for no other reason but I was pleased overall with the accommodation! Thank you!

Stayed Sep 22, 2025This was a wonderful experience! As others have said the place was extremely clean. Check in process couldn’t have been any easier. The home was near NOA whitewater Center and also near the Great Smokey Mountain Railway. The accommodations were everything we needed and Jaime was very kind and communicative. We had such a lovely time.

Stayed Jul 5, 2025Very well equipped, beautiful cabin in a nice location. There’s lots to do around the area and my family and I had a great time. The property is very clean and nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable, there are 2 rooms with a bed each. My daughters didn’t want to share the beds so we brought an inflatable mattress and everyone was comfortable.

Stayed Apr 27, 2025Our stay at Lazy Bear was brief, but it served the purpose we needed just fine. We were fishing in the area and needed a cabin for one night. The property manager sent us everything in advance, so checking in was very easy. The cabin seemed to be well stocked with all the essentials.

Stayed Apr 4, 2025The cabin was very tidy and well stocked. The check in process was easy and arrival information was easily accessible. The only air conditioner is in a window unit and it did get quite hot in the cabin so we left all interior doors open for air circulation and it worked out ok. The resort itself was not in the best shape for its amenities. The badges left for the game room were not active, but the front desk was able to provide us a temporary one. The game room was very run down. The property listing was a bit confusing and needs to be updated. There is no longer a playground which was disappointing for my daughter. The listing pictures are all hikes that are a drivable distance away but are listed as on the property.

Stayed Apr 1, 2025This was a nice enough place to stay for our visit to the Great Smoky Mountains. It was very clean and comfortable. Could use a few more lamps as it’s very dark in the living room and bedroom. The resort was not open for the season yet so unable to use any of their amenities. Easy access to Bryson City and Cherokee for meals.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024Off the grid, very quiet and convenient to a lot of outdoor activities. Also property comes with use of a very nice pool and a great restaurant. I would recommend this property to anyone.
