Cozy Cabin in Charming Grand Lake

If you are looking for just a bed to sleep in then this is the place for you. The pictures on the post while accurate, don’t depict the true experience. The main reason my friends and I booked this “cabin” was for the hot tub and the views from the hot tub. Our entire plan was just to relax at this property and maybe cook a few meals. I reached out to the host prior to our trip to confirm that the hot tub would be in working order and they confirmed that it was cleaned on a weekly basis. When we arrived, the hot tub was not only green and smelly, but it clearly hadn’t been used/cleaned in weeks, maybe months. After contacting the host, they said due to the holiday the pool/spa folks wouldn’t be able to come out until Sunday. When the pool/spa folks showed up, he even confirmed that the condition that the hot tub was in that it hadn’t been used/cleaned it quite a while. He even asked if we wanted to replace the filters. Needless to say, the host either lied or doesn’t do a good job checking to make sure this service is completed on a weekly basis. She lives in the area!The other part of the problem was the kitchen, we could only cook breakfast with the things they had in the kitchen. And that was us being creative.I asked for a refund and told I would only be refunded 150. The extra amount we pad for this cabin was roughly 300, other places without hot tubs in the area with the same view we’re going for 300 less. Ultimate, this place is mid and only good for sleep.

We had a wonderful stay! Beautiful setting and close to town. Cute town! The only problem we had was the washer smelled moldy and we couldn’t get the vacuum to charge or work.

The cabin was very nice, had lots of dishes we were able to use, a great view, and my whole group of ten technically fit in the cabin but I would say it’s more of a 6-8 person home tops. The host was very responsive to messages during our stay but wasn’t able to fix either of the problems I messaged about. We booked a group of ten people for a week and there were only 5 towels for people to shower and only 2 for the hot tub, they said they would try to get more dropped off to us but that never happened. The other problem was that the amenities listed a bbq on site which had been removed sometime before our stay, we had brought food to grill for our large group and had to figure out how to cook without the grill. The hot tub when we arrived was a greenish color and smelled like mildew, someone showed up halfway through our stay and cleaned it but by that time we didn’t have much time to use it. And lastly a for sale sign was put up in front of the house two days into our stay.

I had an amazing stay at this property and highly recommend it! The views are stunning, especially from the balcony during sunset meals.The house was spotless and felt just like home.The property manager was responsive and helpful, quickly addressing any questions we had.Definitely a 10/10! For a memorable getaway with fantastic views and great service, this is your spot. Can't wait to go back!

Everything was super nice only knock was you’ve got to clear the stairs down to the house. Thought I was going to slip and break my neck going down and up the stairs. Carrying suitcases and groceries was insanely hard
