This house in the woods is the best time I’ve had on a weekend vacation I’ve had in a while. Jessica was amazingly helpful-offering advice on where to get some groceries on the way down, the cabin had a whole book filled with FAOs and how to operate certain things. The windows made for an adorable, fall landscape this time of year, and the stillness was so relaxing. The bathroom, and tub especially, were clean and functioned perfectly, and there was no lack of hot water. The beds were comfortable, and the total darkness made for some great sleep. A wonderful time, and relaxing getaway all around. Jessica was amazing too. Super accommodating, and always responsive. She even looked up where we were coming form to recommend where to get some things on the way down- as, really, this cabin IS a 30min drive from anything- and that's what makes it so relaxing. Wish I could rate it higher.
Great
The community was great. So much to do. Jessica was very responsive and easy to work with. The outdoor area was not really a place to be able to spend time. The front was over grown with trees and bushes. Once we swept up the back patio we were able to sit out there but the rest of the property was over grown. Only 1 portable AC didn't cut it. There was 10 windows in the living & dining room area, however only 5 windows had screens. If you don't have. AC it would be nice to be able to open all the windows. The upside is you don't spend much time at the house except for the evening. Overall o was it was a good stay
My husband and I stayed here with our five kids aged 6-16. The house was cute, super clean, really well-stocked, and in a beautiful area. Jessica was really easy to communicate with and responded very quickly! To use the amenities (pool, lake, mini golf, tennis courts, etc) at the resort community, you do have to pay an extra $8 per person per day once you get there. The community administrators are real sticklers, too, and anything extra is an extra $10-25 fee — so to dump our trash before checking out, we had to pay $10 because the trash compactor is closed on Tuesday. Not a huge deal, but something to look out for! We chose not to pay for the amenities and found a lot to do within about a 30-minute drive. We fished in the Lackawaxen (right by the Zane Grey museum), rafted down the Delaware, hiked to the Raymondskill waterfalls. Everything is about a half hour drive. We were here at the end of July, and it was absolutely beautiful, but I could see us really enjoying this home in the winter for skiing, too!
We stayed for a night with friends and really enjoyed the house. It is spacious, clean and in a wonderful mountain resort neighborhood.
