Once a home for cowboys, now a space for you to come enjoy nature at its finest. Wild deer, turkeys and the occasional eagle. Hot tub

Enjoy the serenity and seclusion of this unique cabin on our expansive 60-acre property in Indianapolis. Nestled on rolling hills, the cabin offers breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. Take a leisurely stroll along the trail behind the grey metal pole barn, which leads down to a picturesque pond. From the cabin, you can also observe our beautiful horses grazing in the nearby pasture.

What sets this property apart is that it is the only `Solar Farm` in the city of Indianapolis! Experience the eco-friendly features and benefits of this one-of-a-kind setup.

The cabin itself is a work of art, handcrafted with attention to detail. The ceilings feature milled walnut from northern Indiana, while the pallet wood used throughout the cabin is untreated and sourced from Kentucky. Custom-built cabinets, shelves, and a stair rail made from trees on the property add to the rustic charm.

As evening falls, witness the property come alive with the sounds of nature. Watch the sunset and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. A charcoal grill is provided for outdoor cooking, allowing you to savor delicious meals surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Keep an eye out for wildlife during your stay. It is not uncommon to spot deer in the field, turtles basking in the sun by the lake, our resident blue heron named `Harold,` wild turkeys, or the adorable families of ducklings that inhabit the area in the spring.

Despite its proximity to the interstate and downtown, the property feels like a secluded nature preserve. Immerse yourself in the calming symphony of crickets chirping, fireflies dancing, horses playing, and the crackling of a fire as you roast marshmallows.

We are conveniently located on a main road, making it easy to find and access the property. However, for your safety and the well-being of our animals, we kindly request that you refrain from entering any gated pastures, barns, or outbuildings.

The cabin also offers a private hot tub enclosed by a fully privacy-fenced area. Indulge in relaxation as you soak in the hot tub on your paver patio back porch, enjoying complete privacy.

Don`t miss the opportunity to experience this exceptional property that combines the best of both worlds - the convenience of city life and the tranquility of a nature retreat. Book your stay now and create lasting memories in this remarkable cabin.

We are here if you need us or we will allow you your privacy if you rather.
We would really appreciate if you could follow the below house rules. I know, I know, rules are boring… But these rules ensure we can provide future guests with a great experience.

Kitchen: Help yourself to anything in the kitchen. We supply tea and coffee, as well as cooking utensils should you wish to cook. My only request is that you wash all dishes and utensils prior to leaving.

Smoking: please refrain from smoking anywhere inside the house. Outdoors is totally fine, we just ask you leave nothing behind :)

Noise: As neighbours surround our property, and our family lives right across the lake, we would appreciate if you could keep noise down after 10pm

Horses:
We do have horses in the pasture right next to the house. While they are very friendly and enjoy attention, we ask that you do NOT feed them as equine animals have very sensitive digestive systems, and although they probably wouldnt bite on purpose, they cannot tell if fingers are in the way.

Groundskeeping:
We do have a groundskeeper who helps us keep our 60 acres under control with mowing, weedeating and landscaping. We do our best to do most of this work between 11 am and 3 pm. If you see someone pulling weeds, cleaning air filters, or mulching, just know we are doing our best to make your stay as beautiful as possible :)

Thanks so much!

Any unapproved event or party will result in a $2,500 fine.

The cabin was really nice. The host responded immediately to any of our requests. The only issue was the constant drip in the shower.

We had a great time and it was nice and cozy. We brought our dog and listing did say fenced in yard and it was not completely fenced. Contacted owner and he did get back to me right away and offered and solution so we were happy about that.

The bunkhouse itself was charming, rustic, and cozy, and we had a nice stay overall. However, this is NOT a remote, peaceful getaway as advertised. It's essentially a compound with several other rental properties right on top of each other. We expected the other properties to be more spread out and were surprised by the number of cars in the drive, other guests walking right by our rental, etc.The inside space was comfortable and very cute. The beds, couches, kitchen, and firepit were great. The bathroom was lacking though - the shower was odd, more form than function, and the water never warmed up. Overall, it was fine for our one-night girls' trip, but I would have expected more privacy and a better bathroom for the price charged. The host was very responsive, but sends a lot of canned responses upselling early check-ins/late check-outs, backdrop rentals, kayaking tours, etc. It's more of an enterprise than the small family-run business line suggests. Just a heads up!

Amazing property! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. The owner was very responsive and clearly has an eye for detail, in all his rentals. The kitchen cabinets were beautiful and added a special touch we really loved.

We had such an amazing stay at this beautiful farmhouse cabin! The place was peaceful and exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. The host was fantastic—super friendly and quick to respond to any questions, which made everything so easy. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed, including a hot tub that we definitely took full advantage of. We grilled fillets on the charcoal grill (something we hadn’t done in forever), and later made a great fire to relax by at night. The full moon made everything feel even more perfect. We took a walk around the farm, soaked up the quiet surroundings, and checked out the animals, which was so much fun. Best of all, we spent real quality time together—great conversations, lots of laughs, and just an all-around wonderful time. One of the highlights of the trip was how close the cabin was to downtown Indianapolis. It was just a short 25-minute drive to see Kevin Hart perform at the Murat Theatre, which made the stay even more memorable. This was such a special place, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Can’t wait to come back whenever we need a stay in Indy!

Really cute and comfortable cabin but the farm itself is the real selling point! It was so peaceful, with the wonderful animals and great walking path around the property. However, some things may be better for the younger adult crowd—the shower is deep and hard to climb into, and the stairs up to the loft are steep and higher than normal.
