This cabin is not close to the lake. You have to walk die at least 3 steep stories to reach the beach. Not conducive for anyone with walking issues. The floors are dirty. There is one small AC unit that does not reach the bedrooms. The he children’s playground is next to an area where they chop wood and they leave their axes right out in front of the slide. There are bees Surrounding the area and we had an emergency incident and had to take the child to the ER . They were not helpful in eradicating the issues and actually told us to leave that they were not going to change anything .

Great location close to Trumansburg and wine trail. Incredible view of the lake and well supplied water sport equipment access if thats your thing. Cabin (floor) was a bit dirty but well equipped and comfortable. The loft should not be considered a bedroom the ladder is dangerius at best.

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the cabins closest to the water. We had 4 teenagers and everyone had a great time. The kids used the numerous paddleboards available and also fished off the pier for hours. It is only 20 minutes from Ithaca and 30 minutes from Watkins Glen so it was a great location to explore all of the hiking and waterfalls in the area. Taughannock falls park and beach is less than 10 minutes away. The cabin was rustic but with all of the modern amenities. We only really spent time in there to sleep. Each cabin has a full size gas grill and a small but functional kitchen. Jordan was a great host and provided everything needed for the stay. The kids thought the bed in the loft was cool, but the tallest in the group couldn't get up there comfortably. The wifi was great because a lot of the area has spotty wireless coverage. So navigate to where your going before you leave. As others have mentioned it is a lot of steps to get down to the shore, but noone in our group had a problem. We all had an amazing time and have already recommended Spotted Sandpiper to others.

This property was a nice change from your typical hotel stay. The cabin is on the lake and it is simply beautiful. We enjoyed night-time fires while listening to the sounds of nature all around us. The owners are extremely helpful and respond immediately to any and all texts, and offering up great suggestions for restaurants. I highly recommend staying at the Spotted Sandpiper

Beautifully situated on the Western shore of Cayuga Lake, wonderful sunrises across the lake and distant views of Ithaca and the Cornell Campus. Rustic cabins, which had floors that gently sloped towards the outer walls, which gave it a bit of a fun-house feel when you get up in the middle of the night. Great neighbors, lovely relaxation.

We loved our stay here. The rustic cabin had the beach and kayaks and the little things we wanted. Games for anyone to try, soaps, kitchen items, firewood for the fire pits... The owner was easy to reach and staff were so helpful. We are so appreciative, after so many months at home. And the location is at the start of the wine trail but still isn’t far from the City of Ithaca

Our family had a great time. Location is convenient for going to are attractions. The cabins have everything you need and are well stocked. Cabins are close together, but everyone staying the same weekend of us was very respectful and noise was not a issue.

This location was great. Close enough to dt Ithaca but far enough to be a retreat. My only issue was the fridge didn't get cold enough for my beer. All in all, I would say that's an easy fix so this place was great.

The cabins are very small but efficient and well equipped with a very nice outdoor shed roof, fire pit & BBQ. The property is very quiet and the docks along the lake are spacious and easily accessed. We very much enjoyed having such comforts and were able to relax and readily entertain guests at our tiny weekend house.

Great little cabin! yes, it is cozy, but it has recently been redone, and is a great little spot! Fabulous linens...which I always appreciate! (so much so I always pack my own sheets and blankets just in case...didn't need to use them!)The loft is small, so just be aware ~ but it worked great for our needs ~ attending a graduation at Cornell, and it was a great space to get back to after the events each day. We didn't spend much time there during the day, so can't really comment on that, but the dock was a great space to have a cocktail at sunset! Kate was delightful to work with, and they have seemingly worked hard at updating this little compound in the past 6 months....I wish them well! Thanks for a great weekend!
