Stayed Jan 8, 2024Literally perched in the jungle canopy, this casita was a perfect getaway for me and a great place to use as a base to explore the Southern Pacific Coast of CR. I was drawn to the architecture in the photos and was not disappointed. The drive up is challenging and 4-wheel is a must. In the mornings, I took coffee out to the wraparound deck and identified 15 to 20 birds singing in the surrounding trees. Then there were the howler monkeys...no need for an alarm clock in the morning! Loved it here. The owner and caretaker were perfect hosts.

Stayed Feb 4, 2023we enjoyed our stay high in the mountains and jungle of Uvita overlooking the whales tail. We had fun hiking to the waterfall on the property, watching the beautiful sunsets, swimming in the pool. We spotted scarlet macaws, toucans, aracaris, monkeys, spiders, snakes and other lovely creatures. Be prepared for a long bumpy ride up the mountain side. You need a 4 wheel drive to get here.

Stayed Mar 24, 2019This casita is wonderful. Very tastefully designed and furnished. Also, it is private and secure. Our family had a great stay, along with our friends who rented the larger Morpho house. The kids enjoyed the pool and the waterfall, and we all appreciated the large common area, kitchen, and deck in the main house for group family dinners. I would highly recommend either of these properties.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969What an amazing property! My family had the best time ever in Costa Rica and this was our base camp for our trip. Only minutes from Uvita, yet we felt like we were all alone in the jungle! Howler monkeys, fireflies, toucans, other colorful birds, bats, big beautiful butterflies all out the front door. The private water fall was the icing on the cake. Pura Vida!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My husband and i booked the casita in January 2017 for 10 days and it was pure PARADISE! The location is perfect, not too far from all the services , but away from all the sound. You feel like you have the jungle to yourself. Everything is clean and comfortable. The water pressure is so great and the water was always hot for a shower at the end of the day. The pool is just AMAZING! Refreshing and the view on the ocean is just crazy , especially for sunsets. There is also a private waterfall , so pretty and so much fun to swim there everyday. We even spent a few days staying at the house , because we had so much fun at the pool and the waterfall. I highly recommend this place to everyone. The owner and the caretakers were also super helpful and kind. I want to go back every year :)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This was an absolutely ideal location for our eco research trip. We stayed for almost two weeks. We are professors exploring biomimicry, in the central pacific coast. We used the Morpho Eco retreat as a homebase. It was such a lovely place to come to after long days of expeditions and exploring the lush local ecology and biomimicry of Uvita, and the central pacific coast. A perfect location and great proximity to Hacienda Baru, Rancho Merced, and Manuel Antonio. All wonderful places to observe and engage in nature. The accommodations are generous, modern, clean. And we loved the large kitchen, and incredible deck, with it's amazing views of the whale tail, excellent for us to unwind and have great dialogue late into the night on natures beauty and intelligence (the evening skies form the deck are spectacular). An added bonus was the waterfall and swimming hole on the property, so rejuvenating. The owners, and mgmt really looked out for us too, since this was our maiden voyage, they offered up great suggestions of places to eat, and sites to explore. We will definitely be coming back! Pura Vida!
