This home is in a good location and a has great layout. I will say that it is in definite need of a DEEP cleaning and repairs, especially the deck for safety reasons. I would like to point out that if you work from home or need Internet upstairs, you will have a lot of trouble but downstairs the Internet worked well. However, the management was wonderful and helped us with any issues we had promptly, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again. And if you need firewood make sure to take a quick trip down the road back past the ski resort....You can support a great local guy who won't sell you wet wood.
We all enjoyed our stay and appreciated the driving directions once we entered Blowing Rick. The Lodge is well located between Boone and Blowing Rock , easy to get to both. Our phone call regarding fire wood and internet connection was answered promptly. We look forward to returning for another stay.
The house had LOTS of space for our group: 5 adults and 2 small children. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, as were the bathrooms. We realized we needed some light bulbs on our first day and management was very responsive without being intrusive. We are all coffee drinkers and the coffee pot left a little to be desired, as did the dishwasher. It didn't clean the dishes and we had to handwash many. Warning: Tweetsie Railroad is right down the hill, blowing its horn followed by fake gunshots. It scared the kids. Overall, a great place to stay! We would stay there again.
Plenty of room for everyone! Amazing view. You can hear the Tweetsie Railroad train whistle throughout the day and even see the smoke/steam down in the valley.
The house was easy to find and although you felt tucked away it was convenient to nearby attractions. Communication with rental agency was top notch. Parking was plentiful and flat. Wifi worked great. Plenty of space to spread out with our large family and dogs. My only negative was the lack of towels and wash cloths. It would have been nice to have at least 1 towel and 1 wash cloth for each person. Overall, its a nice home for an extended family vacation.
This property was great for multiple generations. It was awesome to have a few rooms on the main level with no steps for entry or bathroom shower. We had an issue with the WiFi and the property management company was very quick to respond. The road up was a mountain road so we split and someone else drove the older generation up so they didn’t have to drive the mountain. This was to be expected given the proximity to the ski resort, just commenting if you have elderly people in your party. Took advantage of the hot tub and the sauna. Kitchen seemed well stocked for the size of our party. Overall a really great place!
We enjoyed our stay. The only problem was we didn’t have heat for the first night and it was very cold. They did respond quickly and brought us some space heaters until they could get a repair man. They were very friendly and got heat working our second day. We will definitely stay again.
Property was perfect for our family vacation. No issues at all during our stay!
This house has wonderful character. It feels like the old family lake house, just up in the mountains. The location was great and it was easy to find. Lots of lounge space in the living room and comfy beds for everyone. Everything was very clean. My only gripe was that a house this large needs a larger hot tub, but that’s just me being picky. Great place!!!!
