Cohutta Sunrise is an absolutely beautiful cabin nestled on the top of Mount Pisgah. It has breathtaking views to the East and not too shabby ones to the West. The cabin is outfitted perfectly for our large group of 8 adults. The roads up to cabin can be traveled by car which is also a plus, but the cabin was so perfect and beautiful that we hardly ever left. It is a very quiet, peaceful place. I would stay there for sure if I ever visit Blue Ridge again.
The cabin was at beautiful location but was missing basic amenities like paper towel, hand soap in bathrooms, salt and pepper etc. The spring box of the bed in the lower level bedroom was broken and was very uncomfortable to sleep on. I would reconsider coming back here.
This was a return trip to this mountain home. Fairly rustic but perfect for our group. Excellent view.
Very spacious and beautiful cabin! Kids and adults enjoyed roasting marshmallows for smores around the firepit!
Cabin was beautiful. View was beautiful. Big issue upon check in day. The beds were disgustingly dirty. Hairs and dirt on sheets under the blankets and top sheet. Found bugs in the kids bunk beds. Called customer service and they could not get a cleaner until the next day. When she arrived she even said the cabin was dirty and not cleaned. We had to go buy Tide pods that night and stayed up until 330 am washing sheets so that the kids could sleep around in clean beds. I am still waiting on a call back from management to discuss this.
My family had a wonderful stay!! The drive up the mountain required you to be alert and pay attention as it was very narrow and windy, but it was worth it once you reached the house as the views were amazing. We had a great time!!
The cabin was beautiful and the perfect size for our group. There were a few things that could be improved on though, both with the cabin and the lower-level management. I was apparently given inaccurate information from a Georgia CFY contact saying my check-in was at 3pm. After driving over 2hrs, I arrived at 3pm, but the door code wouldn’t work. I called the number provided and another contact answered saying it was actually 4pm and only “members” could check-in at 3pm. She admitted to seeing that I was given bad information, but instead of owning it and enabling the keypad, she said I was also sent an email that had the correct time and I’d have to wait the extra hour before I’d be let in. Keep in mind, there were no previous tenants, cleaners, or maintenance crews there preventing our entry. The hardline that the rep took seemed very unnecessary. After finally getting in, we saw that we were only provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper total between 4 bathrooms and 12 guests (after many conversations with lower-management, a runner eventually delivered a few more rolls the next day). Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was not working. Again, after many conversations with lower management, who tried to just say “nothing could be done”, higher management eventually called with the owner and internet provider to try to trouble-shoot the situation. After no luck and no servicemen available until after our stay, the manager offered $200 off our stay for the inconvenience. I appreciated the effort higher management eventually took to try to fix the problem and I wish my initial calls were met with equal initiative. Lastly, for such a nice cabin, the oven needs to be replaced. It would take unusually long to get to temperature (or not at all) and would flash error messages several times when it would not reach 150F within a reasonable amount of time. Also, I recommend ensuring basics, such as salt are always provided for your tenants. Its cost is negligible and can go a long way in making your tenants week/weekend more enjoyable and convenient. Overall, if I knew Wi-Fi would be working, a new oven was installed, and basics such as salt and toilet paper would be provided, I’d consider staying again. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. Also, lower management should be better trained to provide reasonable results for their customers or take ownership if they make a mistake that can be easily rectified.
We look forward to coming back
The cabin was just as lovely as in the pictures. The views were amazing. Our views were of the sunrises and they did not disappoint! We had so much space to spread out. A few of us stayed on the decks most of the time. I don’t know that I would stay there again because of the roads up the mountain. It was dreadful. I was also disappointed that there were no instructions given to me on the checkout process. I had to call the morning of and request information. I had emailed before we left for the trip but never received a response. But overall it was a great trip.
Location and views were absolutely perfect. Home functioned well for our group but does have a bit of wear and tear. Oven wasn't functioning and silverware/kitchen utensils were a little sparse. Overall, worked well for our group.
