Wonderful location and wonderful home! The family enjoyed hiking, fishing, hot tub, fire pit and much more. Close to Luray Caverns. Close to grocery stores/restaurants but secluded enough for quiet family time. Thank you!
Absolutely enjoyed the getaway. Very relaxing, and peaceful with a very beautiful view.
Thanks for sharing your lovely house. It was the perfect setting for my family. All the amenities we’re very much appreciated. We especially enjoyed being a walk away from the river. Would love to stay here again in the fall
Had a nice relaxing time with the family. Great place for Fishing, swimming, and enjoying the peaceful sights and sounds of nature. Would book again.
Very very nice although the Internet was really bad, so no TV the view was awesome! Really enjoyed watch the Dears come out of the woods and eat all the fawns was so adorable. Thank you so much! Next year we are talking about renting the Jive that should tell you how much we really enjoyed our Time Out! What a great way to relax would definitely recommend this house!
We very much enjoyed our stay. The views are spectacular. I would recommend it.
Property was nice, and clean. Was perfect for our stay, as we kayak fished and were able to put in and pull out from 2 seperate float trips at the house.
Perfect place to bring the kids and our two dogs! Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We enjoyed the short walk down to the river through the little tunnel and spent two days playing in the river. We even had fun one night fishing with a warm campfire by the river. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi is spotty so we couldn’t enjoy TV in the evening or access much on our phones (but it was expected.) It gave us a chance to do other things like play uno and enjoy a bonfire. Would love to visit again. Really enjoyed it!
We really enjoyed our stay in Luray! Cute cabin, nice hot tub and great location on the river! Definitely would love to go back.
We had a great stay! The location was so quiet and peaceful, a great spot for a relaxing weekend away. The property was well-cared for, and we really enjoyed spending time on the deck and in the hot tub. It could have been slightly better stocked with toiletries, but overall a wonderful stay. Hope to visit again!
We had a great week long stay at the cabin. It's an easy short walk over to the river, which is great to listen to and the large windows in the central room of the home are great for looking out at the mountains. There are a few other cabins near by, so it's great that the hot tub is tucked away with a privacy screen so you still feel secluded. The kitchen was well equipped.
We enjoyed our stay, though a few small amenities would have made it nicer. A few more towels, shampoo, more toilet paper, more trash bags, a working night light, replacement of burned-out bulbs -- seemed like the owners skimped on some basic amenities. Unfortunately, neither the hot tub (a big deal) or jacuzzi (not a big deal for us) were operable for our stay, and no discount offered. While understandable for a rural setting, wifi was very very slow. But beds were comfortable, location was nice, heat worked, place was clean and a nice view.
Great property that was exactly as advertised in photos. Communication with the owner and manager were great. Fireplace and hot tub need some attention, otherwise everything else was great. Lots to do in the area but there is a bit of a drive in and out of the property before you get to a main road.
The property is down a delightful dirt road tucked in the area by the south branch of the Shenandoah River. We were impressed with how clean the cabin was upon our arrival and enjoyed the relaxing time we spent there. Furniture was comfortable and in good shape. Though we didn't use it there was a canoe, paddles and life jackets available.
We return for the second year for our 32nd anniversary. This is our fourth year coming to Luray second year in this cabin everything was good. Always nice to be able to take the canoe out do some fishing or just swim in the river. The hot tub is always a plus at night to relax or sit by the fire. I will say the barbecue grill needs to be updated it’s in pretty bad shape. I had an extra set of corn hole boards so we decided to leave them for future guests to play which is always fun.
House was great except for having no curtains, beds weren’t comfortable and the Internet was down. Property location was close to the water so it was easy to enjoy.
It was a very relaxing vacation….
Peaceful, pretty views, and located right by the water. Really enjoyed our stay.
Had a great time. Has been 13 years since my last visit in the area.
We had the best time at this cabin! Photos don’t do it justice, and the property is just incredible. We already booked a weekend to return in September before our trip was over. Five stars!!!
