Beautiful and peaceful location near Santa Fe
This lovely cottage was exactly as pictured. The check in process was easy and Rick and Alexandra were very friendly. Staying in Tesuque Village was a fun experience with the popular market within walking distance and the el Nido restaurant, which was excellent, just down the street. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the Santa Fe area.
We donโt normally leave negative reviews but, We spent three nights here. From the beginning, we were battling spiders and other bugs. The spiders were everywhere. In the Kitchen, on the floors, in the bathroom, in the window wells, it was very creepy and made it impossible to be comfortable at night. We even found them in bed one night. Next, when we took a shower the first morning, we discovered that the shower floor was cracked and water has been running underneath causing the floor to sag, making it impossible to stand upright and steady. Also, because of the water, the wood around the outside of the shower is rotted on the bottom. Next, there is absolutely no privacy in the cabin. Windows in the bathroom have no curtains, allowing anyone to peer into the cabin and the main patio door has a split curtain that does not cover the whole window opening. One evening we were trying to relax on the bed and there were two guys walking around back near the windows! Not sure if they were peering in? Also, one of the chairs at the table had a broken rung and cracked seat making you wonder when you would end up on the floor. Very unstable. We couldnโt get the television to work even following the instructions. We didnโt use the outside patio because the chairs and tablecloths didnโt look like they had been cleaned in months. The last straw was when we were getting ready to leave on the last morning. My husband was in the bathroom and a mouse practically ran across his foot! It came from the shower area and ran under the far end of the baseboard heater. We didnโt spend this kind of money to deal with this kind of emotional stress on vacation. It was not conducive to relaxation. The cabin itself was charming and clean but there are ways to resolve all these issues which seem, unfortunately, to have been ignored.
The hosts were so kind and very friendly. They had plenty of suggestions of things to do in the area, and you could tell they put a lot into their rental and the guest experience. The cabin was secluded and cozy- perfect for in and out between sight seeing.
Really enjoyed our stay here.
We were so pleased with this property! It was perfect for the two of us and we had everything we needed. The decor is unique and comfortable and we just loved everything about it! The property is close to Santa Fe, but removed enough to feel away from the city. There are pretty patios and beautiful outdoor flowers and plants. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time we were there, so we didn't get to sit on the patio, but we really enjoyed the beautiful plants. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Perfect for us during our stay in Santa Fe for visiting the town and going to the opera.
Enjoyed every minute, location is great. Only a 5 -10 minute drive to entertainment in downtown Santa Fe or Buffalo Thunder Casino. Very lovely cottages/cabin style guest house with full kitchen and plenty of living area room.
Our stay in Tesuque was incredible. The space was so delightful as were the grounds. We were at โhomeโโ from the moment we arrived. Our biggest challenge was wanting to spend more time at the rental and still see all that we had on our list to explore. Rick and Alexandra were amazing. Kind and so accommodating. It was truly a trip weโll never forget and canโt wait to come back.
This is a charming property, with beautiful private outdoor space, situated in a lovely village with short walks to galleries and outdoor sculpture gardens, a glassblowing studio, two great restaurants, and trailheads into the Santa Fe woods.
We came to Santa Fe for a long weekend and loved our stay in Tesuque. Itโs so close to the city and the property is like a hidden gem. Will definitely come back.
