The house was beautifully remodeled and in a great location for us. It could have been cleaner especially upstairs. The floors were not clean and there was dog hair on the the bed sheets and we didnt have a dog. Also there was a small piece of soap left on the floor in the shower
This house fit our needs perfectly. Very cozy style. All the amenities we needed. Less than 1 minute walk to the lake.
We loved everything about our stay at Happy Hollow from the clean and fully set up-to-date home to the view, nice location. Everyone was friendly and nice to see so many folks out walking, jogging, or sitting to enjoy the lake view or smell the rose still in bloom in September. We are already planning a return visit. Thank you for sharing such a jem!
What a beautiful summer home with all the upgrades. Hope to come back to enjoy the porch view of the lake!
The property is lovely. Recent and beautiful renovation. Very well done! Issue was with management company: VaCasa. Started with identity verification which failed online and resulted in numerous phone calls to get completed(inconvenient) to check-in and arrival, took numerous attempts to gain entry(issue during whole stay)with a very temperamental lock box(frustrating). Also, landscaping crew came the morning of check-out and proceeded to blow leaves from porches(intrusive). The late checkin(4pm) and early checkout(10am) made a 2 night stay feel very, very short and $700(with VaCasa and VRBO fees) felt very steep! Aside from the complications, the homeowners have a very lovely venue?
Lovely home and quiet neighborhood. Just a quick walk down the road to the lake. Plenty of room in the house and spotless, would rebook again!
This is a wonderfully updated home, with top notch modern appliances, spiffy subway tiling, and charming farmhouse sink in kitchen, plus recessed lighting, comfortable furnishings, and attractive artwork throughout. The spacious front porch is inviting, the bathrooms feature nice tilework and quality fixtures, and HVAC makes it all super comfortable. We were four senior citizens, however, and we would request better safety railings leading up from the street. The walkway steps in front are quite tilted and uneven, and the back entrance is basically a rocky gully. Also, no indication was provided in the promotional material regarding where to park, etc.
Loved this home! It show cased the 19th century look with modern amenities! Great location!
This renovated historic home was just perfect. The family loved it. Lots of charm. And that front porch is hard to leave.
Location! Location! Location! Convenient to all the lake has to offer and yet amazingly private. Well decorated and very comfortable, it was very pleasant to stay there.
Our 3-generation group ranged in age from 15 months to 88. It was the perfect location to use as springboard to hiking, sightseeing, shopping. The front porch became our living room quickly, and a favorite spot for jigsaw puzzles. A highchair and pack-n-play would have been appreciated but we took our own. Updated kitchen and baths were well stocked and beautiful. Loved it!
Kitchen is wonderful, bathrooms have been remodeled and are beautiful! Only drawback was needed instruction for appliances and cable but good place to stay!
