Nice place, cozy cabin. Disappointed no one communicated hot tub was down, that was why I choose this place over others. Super close to great snow at Wolf Creek. Went to Sand Dunes hot springs pool , the adult green house area was great. Little under an hr away to go soak.
Hot tubs was not working. Not as secluded as we thought, in fact it's in the middle of the tiny town. That said it decided us as to where we would like to spend a full week.
The place clean and easily accessible in the middle of South Fork.
Good towels, pillows, mattresses ok, but very old motel style cabin-like room which needed some significant repair of wall paint. When we arrived, there was no heat and predictions were for 40 degrees at night. We called, but no one was available. It was the following afternoon when someone came to light the pilot light on the wall heater and replace thermostat batteries. We didn’t have matches or lighter and didn’t want to try to mess with a very old wall heater. There was also no shower gel in the container. Just seemed like maybe no one had checked the place out for a long time. We asked VaCasa for some kind of small refund, but all they provided was a 10% discount on future bookings that would be eligible for one. I will be hesitant to book with them again.
We had a last minute change of plans and needed a place in South Fork. This cabin met our needs and is easily within walking distance of restaurants, stores, etc. The only downfall is that there was not a single host contact and the online platform was a little wonky.
We’ve stayed here as out of state hunters for a few years now. Rooms are just what we’re looking for.
Comfortable and affordable plus clean.
There were nice turds in the cabinet when we arrived. It smelled like Cheech and Chong spent the past week living in the room. The toilet wouldn’t flush if you put more than 1/2 of a 1/4 piece of paper in it. The walls were thin enough to hear the couple next door argue all day on one side, and hear the kids watching Spongebob on the other. There were two hot tubs, neither one worked. The “couch” is enough for two child-sized adults to sit in each other’s laps. Basically, if you’re 4 college guys that want to double up in beds to save on your parents Visa, this place is for you. Anyone, there are a slew of better options and I would NOT recommend one ran by VACASA, and they are not attentive to calls with issues.
Have stayed in same Lodge unit two years in a row to ski Wolf Creek. With a good kitchen , it fits all my needs. Very well maintained.
Cozy little cabin, just limited hot water and mattresses that are shot in the middle, other than that great stay.
It had all amenities of home. Great location close to the mountains and shops. Nice and clean and the staff was very friendly
It was a great experience!
